To demonstrate the versatile gameplay found in the procedural adventure game (that's our awesome term for it), 5th Cell included things like helping improve an old man's vision by giving him another eye. That doesn't work? How about a sniper rifle? And while we're talking about that, we'd like to express our delight that there is a game in which improving an old man's vision is an objective. Even beyond all the item-summoning stuff, there's a ton of creativity at work here.
Scribblenauts trailer attacks our weak point for massive damage

I'm really getting tired of "MASSIVE DAMAGE" now. It was kind of cool and funny the first few times games had that reference, but now it just needs to die. It is in a lot of things now.

Welcome to the Internet, where memes are beaten to death like a bad horse, then beaten some more.

I had a pencil that wrote letters and words before it actually got to them.
Turned out it was Satan himself. Unfortunately instead of anything demonic, he just wrote bad poetry about a girl named Lilith dumping him and marrying Beelzebub instead.

Why would Glue be the solution to that problem? Surely suture, or flesh would be a better substitute?
I think you are going to fail at this game.

I am far more excited for this little gem than for hyped blockbuster games.

this game runs on magic dust. that's the only way to explain how it's possible.

People are complaining about the amount of Scribblenauts news, but I think trailers are always good.
It is a good thing I pre-ordered it, because it's going to sell out really fast.

It's predetermined words that have been scripted in the game. It's limited to what they've included in their data base. It doesn't generate what you write.. you write something in order to spawn it.
It would be better off with a drop menu of everything you can spawn.

A drop down menu is hardly your imagination.
Seeing a list of possilibities isn't thought.

It's not imagination if it has to be certain words in order to work. lol

You're just jealous that none of the words YOU want to show up are there.

Actually, you have NO idea how many things are in this game. If there was a drop down menu, it would take forever to find an item at the bottom of the list. It would need to have a search feature, which would be exactly the same as it is now.

And at E3, the list wasn't complete yet. They were still going through textbooks and adding things like obscure species of dinosaurs.
If it's a concrete noun, and not a person, and not crude, you can spawn it. Yes, you're imagination is limited to that, but I think everyone can agree that that's quite the minor limitation.

At first I thought this game was a little over-hyped, but now that I've seen more, this really looks fantastic.
