I'm getting so tired of you blog commenters with your heads so far up you own asses.
Some bullshit wannabe journalists like the ones found here and at Kotaku constantly "poo-poo" boobs and fart jokes in an attempt to appear legit and possess that coveted " journalistic integrity" and you all just blindly follow suite.
Get back in touch with reality.. you ARE nerds and geeks and undersexed teens and testosterone filled college jocks and everything else. You DO like boobs and hot girls a sex and all the rest.

This is innocent fun in the guise of sinful dirty behavior as a way to promote a video game about going to hell.

How can we, as a community, continue to take pictures of all the half naked booth babes at each of these events and then turn around and complain about the idea of having an all expense paid night on the town with 2 of them.

Lighten up or shut up, your such a killjoy!

Don't apologize.. I'm not personally that thrilled about the contest... I just needed to vent cuz I'm tired of everyones noses being turned up at everything as everyone denies the truth about the majority of people in this demographic.

I wouldn't care to win this contest.. but at the same time if I did somehow I'd make the best of it and have a good time. I just want everyone to stop pretending as its so frikken obvious it makes me sick.

As for tacky and lame.. did you just pull those out of a hat or something? Since when are gamers concerned about "tacky?"
Katamari anyone? Bayonetta? DMC?
And lame? Really? What isn't lame? Winning an ugly, oversized t-shirt and a bag of cardboard swag and lanyards? Or maybe winning a sculpted bust of one of the game's demons would be less lame than a limo ride to a free dinner and then a personal photo shoot with two booth babes?

What exactly are we comparing this to?

God, i remember once when a kotaku writer about a line in the read me or whatever for the L4D zoey mod. It was jokingly calling the downloaders perverts, then asholecraft or whoever it was got all pissy that this guy who made the made calling other people perverts. Then like a week later they have some cosplay whore on the front page and the site they linked gets overwhelmed in minutes. Fucking hate kotaku

And that is really all my rant was about. As for girl gamers, and gay gamers, and devout priests, and old guys without viagra, and guys with their wives looking over their shoulders, etc etc etc.. your opinions are just as valid as the perverts who drool over things like this. It isn't that I'm really going to argue for or against this promotion.. I just want people to be a little more honest with themselves. I think the blind blogger worship has created a significant group of commenters that waste everybodies time sharing opinions that aren't even really their own.

You girl gamers should go up and get your photo taken with the booth babes.

Everyone knows that boobs = instawin for any contest.

So putting girl paid to be hot boobs with girl gamer increases your chances of winning swag to pretty much guaranteed.

Hey, speak for yourself man.

EA is one of the primary balls and chains holding the gaming industry back from becoming a respected and stable field. They're still living in the rockstar era (No reference to Take2).

Until they grow up and stop pulling moronic shit like this, a career in the gaming industry will never really be taken seriously.

Is this anything but flamebait like the faux-Christian non-protest at E3? Because I'm detecting a pattern of EA pissing off sensitive people (Christians, feminists... what else do we have in the circles of hell? Gluttony - are they going to hold a "hottest fatty" contest? Maybe a "best bulimic" one: "Tweet us your puke!" "ZOMG THAT'S SO OFFENSIVE TO ANA/MIA, EVRYBDY TWEET #EAFAIL") and reaping the PR.

Bonus from the contest rules (http://www.sintowin.me/):

"Judges reserve the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any Submissions that are inappropriate for any reason, including without limitation, for depicting or mentioning sex, violence, drugs, alcohol and/or inappropriate language."

So if entries mentioning sex can be disqualified, but the whole concept is to visualize lust, then... what should be submitted? Our lust for their fabulous outfits? The way they volumize their hair just really makes us want hair like that really badly?

At first I chuckled a bit thinking it was a joke, then I realised it's EA sponsoring. Im not religious or anything but geesh this is just demeaning and quite damn disrespectful. Sure its a game about sin but come on... Its not like Fable 2 was promoted with a roofy and a limited edition condom (unless you count the spartan armor for your e-penis) or a bible so you can really "choose your path".

I might of blew things out of proportion but C'mon, this is why gamers get stereotyped. This is worse than Axe marketing deodorants with free microsoft points.

When I first saw this I chuckled... Then left. About an hour later I returned and noticed this "article" again. It finally hit me. I fell over laughing. EA is contributing to sexism and the degridation of our society at the same time. I can decide if this is made of win, an epic win, or an astronomical win.

I wish I could be there when that pathetic little f**k trys to make small talk with that (I think bimbo is to judging, soooo..) attractive young woman.
But... What do I know, mabey a mans man (like David Hasselhoff) will win, and they'll hit it off and have a great time. They might even decide to see each other again, and get engaged, and married, and EA will be david's best man(it's only natural since he introduced them), and have a beautiful baby boy, and .... Um.............. Well my point is, I have lost faith in society as a whole. However I'm not going to off myself as I can't wait to see what EA's next offensive marketing ploy will be.

Eh - I'm not feeling the tattoos on the girl with the short hair. She can stay home.

All in all, EA must have hired some new PR people. I like their creativity for promoting a new title. Though this is going a bit overboard. I just hope the girls are compensated well, especially if the "WoW guy from south park wins it",

The girls who are being "demeaned" are girls who agreed and signed up to do this to themselves. People need to realize that these girls aren't victims like most everyone is making them out to be. Its just a contest, and the girls agreed to be a part of it. It's that simple, Does this demean women, yes I can see that. But, the point of it is the company is not full of men out trying to put down women. As far as this goes the girls invloved are putting themselves down.

This is just cheesy and silly. I think, like the fake protesters, the entire idea behind this contest is to create a buzz about how shocking it is. And by shocking, I of course mean "something not truly newsworthy that people will soon forget about despite initial uproar."
