Awesome! Scott Pilgrim re-ignited my love for comics in recent years - Cutesy artwork crossed with music, anime and game references = the perfect world! I hope the game lives up to all that. Don't care about the movie so much though... Cera isn't the Scott I imagine.

True dat about Michael Cera always filling the same role. What was his first awkward soft-spoken role? George Michael on Arested development?

Calm down, peasant.

That overrated dreck is worse than Twilight and you know it.

I have free speech and I have the right to express it.

I am also awesome. That make your point null and void ;)

I don't think it's fair to say watching any Micheal Cera movie would be an accurate representation of Scott Pilgrim. He might have the same acting style in every movie, but the story and it's presentation are more significant here. The story is a bit absurd by itself, but the series is largely a cartoony rom-com. The fact that the movie is being directed and co-written by Edgar Wright, who directed and wrote Spaced, Shaun of the Dead, and Hot Fuzz, carries some heavy significance. The pictures Wright has posted on his blog shows what stands to be a film fairly close to the series in both it's story and cartoony style.

Scott Pilgrim is one of my favorite series ever, and I have great confidence the movie will rule... hopefully the game will, too.

I'm excited by this news, though I have my reservations. It's a licensed game, after all. I have my reservations about Cera is Pilgrim, too, but he is funny. Wright is a great director, so I'm still hopeful. By the same token, Ubi does make some good games, so there is hope for the game.

UBISOFT? C'mon Mal, that's not nearly Indy enough for SP. You need to get a bunch of college students together and make a NES game dude! Then distribute it from the back of a van behind SDCC!

Considering many of the injokes in SP are based on old 8bit era games (clash at demonhead was a great game!), and NES game would be most appropriate, but who knows maybe that's what it'll end up looking like anyway even on this gen's systems.

Man, this is going to be awesome!

I hope it comes out for XBLA or on one of the handheld systems. PSP would be the best for a cartoony side scroller, graphics wise.

I love Scott Pilgrim too. I don't really think Cera is right for the part, but eh, What can you do?

I haven't read past the first 2 volumes, but they were both really fun. I bet this game comes to Wii or PSP, which i won't mind at all!

You know, this is one of those news stories that makes you wonder if you woke up in an alternative.

One of the largest Triple A developers in the world creating a game about an indie comic book? What'll be next?

I'm psyched for this and the movie should be good, I love Edgar Wright and you have to admit even if Michael Cera generally is the same, most of his movies aside from that Playlist one have been quite good and he's been quite funny.

I've had a hard time wrapping my head around how Michael Cera could in any way be the right choice to play Scott Pilgrim, but I won't judge him until I see footage. Hopefully the people working on the game will concentrate on the comics, and I also hope there's someone on the staff old enough to recognize the plethora of video game references in them (I had to explain most of them to my 25 year old roommate. It made me sad.)

YES, give me a Scott Pilgrim themed River City Ransom game. Add in a rocking soundtrack from "Sex Bob-Omb" and I'm sold.

Also, Infinite Playlist proves to me that Cera will nail the "slice of life" bits of the comic... if they get the Nintendo Generation humor and the fight scenes right they're all set.
