While certainly not the most anticipated Star Wars title coming down the pipe, there's plenty of folks looking forward to the release of Krome Studios' Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes -- folks who are about to be somewhat disappointed. During yesterday's Star Wars panel at San Diego Comic Con, LucasArts Senior Marketing Manager Matt Shell talked about the game, and mentioned an October 6 release date for the title. That's a bit of a delay from the initial launch date of September 15.
The crowd at the Comic Con panel didn't react unfavorably to the release bump, however. Perhaps they were placated by Olivia Munn, who was apparently cosplaying as "short-shorts Leia."

How about we push this back till never and get some Jedi Knight 4, Battlefront 3 or KOTOR 3 going on. Even a good sequal to The Force Unleashed will do.

If this were a AAA-title, this near month delay would be an act of war!

And if this game was an omelet, I'd eat it with cheese.
I don't get what you're trying to say?

See, fuck that. Star Wars isn't the problem. Crappy offshoot video games are.

it's all scripted. there was a video on g4tv.com where they showed the pamphlets they had to memorize cause there were no teleprompters. So yeah they're assholes, but they're just written that way

God, I have had enough of clone wars. Especially that cartoony design. Like there's a show and everything and I can't bring myself to watch it. A dire hard star wars fan like myself, fell asleep 2-3 times through the effing theatrical movie. I can't handle dreams and aspirations being shattered watching that show.
We'll probably have to wait till Lucas dies until we get the Star Wars we really want.

The movie sucked, but some of the episodes of the show are really quite entertaining, IMO. It's so great to watch the space battle episodes for instance, considering none of the prequel films had much space battling going on.

God, what is it with lucas arts and not making sequels to their best stuff? This game needs a sequel! And so does Battlefront! And Bounty Hunter!

I'm actually looking forward to the gameplay of this game more than Old Republic's. I just don't like RPG "click and watch" gameplay. If only Team Ninja or the God of War or Onimusha people could be given a Star Wars action game contract... Can you imagine a Star Wars game in the quality of those games?? Man...
That being said, Old Republic's writing/story elements will be amazing :)

I'm not sure why there's so much negativity towards the game.. The movie sucked, but the series has actually been really good. The graphics aren't exactly bad, they look pretty close to the show, and while the gameplay isn't exactly the most innovative thing ever, it looks like a fun brawler.
Any game you and a friend can team up as Mace Windu and Kit Fisto has to at least be worth a try, right? The delay also means they're at least putting *some* effort in..
