Microsoft has announced that Turn 10's Forza Motorsport 3 will be driving onto North American Xbox 360s on October 27. In addition, the company has also revealed the final details of the Limited Collector's Edition of the game, which will be available only at GameStop. The limited edition will grant users VIP status in the Forza community, a keychain, 2GB flash drive and ten exclusive cars. Five of the cars are exclusive to VIP members, while the remaining five were "personally hand-picked, tuned and painted by the team at Turn 10."

Finally, Turn 10 has also announced the winner of the Forza 3 community design competition, namely Justin Van Dusen II of Midland, Michigan. His custom-painted Audi R8 V10 will be offered as a pre-order bonus for the game. This game fails so hard compared to Gran Turismo... the only thing it has going for it is the Porsche 997

Have you never preordered a game from Gamestop? I've always had factory-sealed copies 100% of the time. The only time I don't get factory-sealed copies is when I wait like a month or more to buy one.

No matter how long you wait, you should ALWAYS get an unopened copy.

I agree. I really want this, but not if it means I have to buy it at GameStop. I haven't bought anything from them in years, and don't plan to start now. This is a very poor choice to give them exclusivity. True gamers, IMHO, know that GameStop is the devil. So to me, this alienates your core audience. I think Amazon or basically anywhere else would have been a better choice.

Ironically, this is an art book I'd actually dig. But yeah, glad they're going a different route besides the usual "making of" DVD and art book.

Wow those are good VIP cars. Glad i preordered this version a moth ago (mainly for the flash drive)

I have to admit, the collector's edition looks cool.

I loved the Fallout 3 one, and that was literally a lunch box with random junk.

But yeah, seems a lot of companies are just throwing out token collectors editions these days for the sake of making more money. This one at least looks really cool, but I suck at simulation racers, so I'll probably pass.

Just is real life, VIPs are the ones with moolah to burn. :(

Just a quick question: do you really need to buy the collector's edition to get those cars? Cause I really LOVE the Ferrari 430 Scuderia :(

nice, it has a cruzer crossfire flash drive. i'm happy to see they did not cheap out on the collectors edition.

i don't have a 360 but i'd love to get one and this game in the future, glad to know that i'll be missing content

I wouldn't worry your head too much about it -- Forza 2 is going to be packed with cars as it is. I doubt you'll miss those five, especially since I'd wager that there will be very similar cars to each included on the disc.

I'm not into car sim games, but the trailer looked so hawt. I'm confuzzered, whether or not to get it.

It's up for pre-order on Game and Play for £55.
Neither say what it actually comes with yet, but I imagine it's the same.

Holy crap, October 27th?? That's too soon. I thought realistic racing sims are supposed to take at least 5 years for development. Are we sure that this wasn't an announcement for a glorified demo of Forza 3?

So would I be able to get this from EB Games in Canada? I'd hate to miss out on this one.

Whenever I go to EB they have everything thats also for Gamestop. Its because they are the exact same store only it has a different name here in Canada.

I only owned Forza 2 because it came with my 360, but I ended up liking it a lot more than I thought. Probably not enough to shell out the cash for a collectors edition, but enough to really want one :(

Yeah but there have been a few things in the past that never wound up in Canada.

I guess those were exclusive U.S release candidates.
