Namco Bandai partners has announced that Ghostbusters will officially arrive on European Wii, DS and Xbox 360 consoles (and PCs) on October 23, according to VideoGamer.com. Thus far, the game has only been officially available for the PS3 and PS2 thanks to its initial European publisher, Sony. That said, the North American Xbox 360 version is reportedly not region-locked, allowing European gamers to import the title.
Still, for Nintendo and Xbox players longing for what Play Magazine calls the "best damn Ghostbusters game [they've] ever seen" (as opposed to the vastly superior version we were hoping for), the wait is going to be just a bit longer.

I'm glad that this game is selling well! Just waiting for it to come down in price before I pick it up! Non-region lock is probably welcome news for the Europeans.

How did Microsoft stall Bioshock? I'd like to read more about that.

I'm pretty sure he's simply referring to the timed 360 exclusivity.

Proof that it's always smart to RTFA: I was about to ask "Well who the hell else is publishing it?" until I noticed that the answer lies within the very first sentence of the post. d'oh

I think people have been too hard on this game. It's short but bustin ghosts is fun, and it's a treat to hear and "see" the cast again. Here's hoping for more.

For those of you waiting to experience this game put it on your rental list first. Being a big Ghostbusters fan I was very disappointed with how the end product turned out. Proceed with caution.

I have to agree.. I enjoyed the story parts, seeing all the ghostbusters was great, I think I had most fun just wondering around the Ghostbusters building. I quite liked the scanning too, but the actual shooting parts weren't particularly fun and the entire game can be finished in around 4 hours.
Definitely wouldn't buy it at full price.

As much I appreciate this lovely game...it's still a bit buggy. Especially for those who wants to platinum this game. D=

You ever hear the theory about giving a 1000 monkeys a typewriter?

Has nobody actually SEEN the Ghostbusters movie!? When Louis Tully is introducing his "friends" (actually business colleagues for tax purposes) at the party? Right before he throws their coats on the demon hound's head? Anyone?

"as opposed to the vastly superior version we were hoping for" Once again Richard Mitchell shows he really has poor taste in his opions in video games. Ghostbusters I don't think could have gotten any better and the consensus loved ti too. But also, this is the guy who was hyping Clover and Pirates Vs. Ninjas Dodgeball.

Ghostbusters was far from a perfect game, but the game is pretty damn fun.
Honestly, (I'm a PS3 owner) I was disappointed with some of the graphics and a few other nitpicky things. I've played the game 3 times through already (and some individual levels) to get all the trophies, but I really fell in love with the game when I started playing the multiplayer--its really refreshing to play something different from the usual shooters.

I'm playing the Wii version right now, will send it back this week to get the Xbox360 version (hopefully) from GameFly. I geek out everytime I hear the Ecto-1 siren. If this is supposed to be the next chapter of the story, then after the next movie I hope they make the tie-in game more like (I hate to say it because it is getting cliche, but...) GTA or Spider-Man 2. Bustin' ghosts in a sandbox where I can drive around NYC ringing up the taxpayers' bill by smashing everything makes me feel good.
