Someone really needs to ask Nintendo WTF is going on with the lack of VC releases.

Please believe, week #2 no VC release? The questions are flooding them as Wii Speak.

Really, it's not the lack of releases that bugs me so much as their complete dismissal of even any necessity to address it. If they had so much as said "we want to concentrate on the recent wave of big WiiWare titles", it would be a lot less insulting.

What's the point of sword fighting if there are no insults?

They hinted that insult swordfighting might be back in later games!

Nintendo are too busy bathing in their own wealth that they've completely forgotten the VC even exists.

And when they do finally get of their arses to give us something, it's just some shit game that no wants rather than all the classics that really should have released already.

Maybe they are building up to a massive release on VC and want to clear the crowd so people pay attention.

Or next week they'll just release a dull NES game that no one played back then even.

Considering my Wii has a layer of dust on it thicker then an original SNES cart, I could really care less what Nintendo does with their money. They have failed to impress me since the N64. There I said it, Ocarina was their swan song.

LOL @ Mr Khan, good question, I second that.

Or maybe Akuma plays Wii everyday, along with all his Nintendo systems, and is angered by the lack of a VC release second week in a row like the rest of us!

The lack of a true Starfox/Zelda game is what did it for me. Lack of support for the smaller XboxLive/PSN releases put me over the edge.

And to think, the VC started off with such promise. It's a shame, really.

Screw it; I've been been waiting for Super Mario Kart for weeks, but I'm just gonna use those points towards Pulseman and be done with it. Roar.

I'd wait until a week without a relatively big WiiWare release before we really start inquiring about the lack of VC. It could be a motion to appease the bigger WiiWare devs, since we know from the complaints of XBLA devs that they hate to have to compete with classic games

1000 points (10 dollars) for 1 part or 34.99 for all five parts on steam.

All I gotta say is - bleh.

That's a fair point.

Personally, I don't play games on my PC (Football Manager being the exception) so $15 more to be able to play on my big TV and sit on my couch - that's well worth the money.

Or instead you could buy it directly from Telltale for the same price, who will even send you a DVD copy of the game when all chapters are out.

I'm more than happy for them to take a break from the VC - there's still maybe 15 games that I could download if I need to.

What I am excited for is Monkey Island. Can't wait to get it this afternoon.

Homoerotic?

Muscle men as missles? Sperm shots? Strapping men in thongs flying around using their biceps to smack down other brawny men with protrusions in strategic locations?

That just translates to typical Japanese to me.

The music also rocks HARD.

The lack of VC games makes sense from a certain perspective.

In an economy that is now affecting game purchases, Nintendo seems to be trying to help out their third-party folks by removing VC as a competition for those fewer gaming dollars. Plus, when a series like Monkey Island comes along, it's probably important to get as many as possible to buy that first installment or two to get hooked.

To be honest, I'm flush with VC games. I don't have many, but man, they are some deep games. And I don't get to spend 2-3 hours a day gaming.

I'm really disappointed, not just by the lack of VC games, but by the lack of VC arcade titles. The Virtual Console arcade had so much potential, but the only thing released was 80s arcade games.

Size is probably a problem there. Later Arcade games got huge in terms of file size, so perhaps there is some restriction therein
