There's a whole host of delays coming out of today's Ubisoft investor update, but this is the one that'll likely hurt the most: Splinter Cell: Conviction has been moved from the fourth quarter of 2009 to the first quarter of 2010. In other words, Sam Fisher won't be making his return until sometime between January 1 and March 31 of next year (the fourth fiscal quarter of 2009-10).
You're sad, we're sad, everyone's sad. But Conviction's been delayed so many times, you can make a few more months, right? Right?

Even more bad news.. they announced that they're dropping the PC version, it's now completely 360 exclusive.

There's plenty great games releasing this fall, if you are open-minded and happy to play a non-shooter.

All I can think of besides MW2 is Uncharted, Brutal Legend, Ratchet and Assassin's Creed 2. The fall is getting pretty quiet.

There's also Scribblenauts, Dark Void, Uncharted 2 for those PS3 owners (which I sadly am not one), Rock Band Beatles, there's going to be plenty of games this fall, I'm actually glad that this got pushed back. Do you really want to be playing AC2 and SC:C at the same time?

If your a PS3 owner splinter cell wasn't coming to you anyways.
But it sucks that it got delayed. But I guess this leaves room to pick up borderlands which is looking really good. Or Alpha Protocol to fill my super spy needs, and it has RPG elements.

Hey, to me it sounds like there may still be plenty of good titles left this fall even if a bunch of others have recently been delayed.
So, assuming we don't have any more major delays, isn't this what many of us wanted anyway? It starting to look like we'll have loads of games to play spread out from the holidays through the first couple of quarters next year. Sounds good to me.

LFD2, Forza 3, Arkham Asylum, Dirt 2, Lost Planet 2, Fifa 10, MW2, Beatles Rock Band, Uncharted 2, NSMBWii, Gay Tony is all stuff I want this year. Iffy on Gran Turismo PSP and ODST. My wallet will welcome a couple of these to get delayed. I really did want some Bad Ass: The Game though...

I can't remember ever being this excited about a urinal and a man's face at the same time.
Except for that one time.

I thought we agreed not to bring that up, ever again, Carmaction. I'm not ready to talk about this in public yet.
