It certainly looks like a good deal of fun, though we can't help but notice that player two seems to spend an awful lot of time off screen during the offline co-op video (find it after the break). Looks like online is the best way to go.

A 30 second load screen? I hope the install will lower that to 5 or something.

I was certain people were overreacting when they said the series would suck without Itagaki's help.
I was wrong. It is still better than stuff like Devil May Cry I guess, but they removed most of the best concepts of the first two games and are using new features that are just there to make it flashy and not necessarily add to the fun.
What annoys me the most is they finally add in multiplayers modes, and that is something I have been asking forever for!

Yeah, it's really odd that the first 2 games didn't have co-op mode since they had XBL service available to use.

I wouldn't say that, this could very well be the "DMC 2" of Ninja Gaiden, which would make the series equal, though personally I always liked DMC over Gaiden.
And yay for bringing in a greatsword for Ryu to use, I miss the Dabilaharo! Though I hope to god they add more than one "Ultimate Ninpo" attack, that one looks kind of bland...

Ninja Gaiden's always had long loading times. I think that's just one of those things that we're gonna have to live with.

It still had a bunch of mid fight loading, Emophia.

Wow, it would suck to be the second player in offline mode.... You might as well not exist, the camera only focused on the first player.
I find it amusing how, now that they took the blood spray out, puddles of blood just appear out of nowhere on the ground.

Load load times are long.
You better not screw up...
The worst part may be now that two players can get their asses kicked at once...
