Quote "Hopefully that will include Canada, which sometimes gets shut out of plans that include North America, like with Hulu.

Sure. And of course there are lots of parameters around that, as cited by your Hulu example, but yeah. Sure. We definitely want this experience to be as broad as possible and be available to as many people as possible" EndQuote

Hmm, the answer provided would make a politician proud - it's not an answer to the question and doesn't indicate if Canada is, in fact, getting this. Because of this, I highly doubt that this will be coming to Canada anytime soon.

Are you talking about the "Play Station" button under The Killers in the top pic?

If so, you're a total fucking idiot.

Am I the only one who got the idea that Ms. Orlena Yeung doesn't really know what shes talking about? I can't quite put my finger on why I get that feeling, but I do.

i agree with you 100%. like someone said in another comment, her answers would make a politician proud. it seems like every question i actually wanted to know the answer to, she just gave some bs statement that didn't answer anything. oh well, it can't play in games so i will probably never use it other when it first comes out.

While this is an obviously great fit for the social aspect on which the 360 has built itself, I can't help but feel the disjointedness that Microsoft is displaying in their own company.

After all, many would say (myself included) that Last.fm is exactly where Microsoft looked to when they began building "The Social" for their Zune network. It does seem a little odd, then, that Microsoft would not look internally to develop a cross promotion with one of their own products, instead to collaborate with what could arguably be called competition. Albeit, this gets them off the hook for any possible anti-trust yarns to be spun, Microsoft may be missing a bigger opportunity here to move more units in the aforementioned Zune division.

Of course it could also mean that even they (Micorosoft) have a hard time believing that people would actually buy a Zune, in which case, scrobble on.

*just a note, I do own a Zune, and am on the Social, I'm just speaking from a general perspective that seems to be dominated by Applebots.

I really didn't read to much of the whole interview te be honest. Last time I already stopped reading when they mentioned you can't use it in game.

Since I have my pc right next to my xbox, I don't really see the point of all of this.

From Last.fm's Wiki page:
"Using a music recommender system called "Audioscrobbler", Last.fm builds a detailed profile of each user's musical taste by recording details of all the songs the user listens to, either on the streamed radio stations, the user's computer or many portable music devices. This information is transferred to Last.fm's database ("scrobbled") via a plugin installed into the user's music player. The profile data is then displayed on the user's profile page. The site offers numerous social networking features and can recommend and play artists similar to the user's favourites."

l say I like Pandora Better. Last FM, I picked Ludacris and 4 Songs later it gives me NWA, I mean NWA is Cool but Ludacris and NWA have different styles. NWA is gangster rap and west coast, while Ludacris is Southern and more lyrical.

Guys I have a fix for all of you that want in game internet radio in eight one sentence steps. This is not a joke,and this is at least what I will be doing. (Minus the last two steps.)Step One: Turn on both your Xbox 360 and your Playstation 3.Step Two: Turn on your surround sound.Step Three: Go on your Playstation's internet browser and go to Pandora internet radio. (www.pandora.com)Step Four: Make a station on PandoraStep Five: User your Surround Sound for your playstation to play the internet radio, use your TV volume for your 360.Step Six: insert game into 360 and begin playing while your PS3 handles playing PandoraStep Seven: ?????Step Eight: Profit!

you know you can play music from your zune software, media folder, or media center on your pc, or any portable device while gaming on the 360, so that both can be on the surround sound, with no douchebag wiring?

@Mazreal
It is only 4 electronics going.... Two of them have 65mn chipsets (360, PS3) Surround sound, and a TV. The only difference for me would be having me ps3 running which it already does anyway, because I party chat on XBL while playing my PS3.

@Mynk
You do realize that has absolutely nothing to do with what I am talking about right. (In game internet radio.)

I am not sure if they have podcasts, but my podcasts get scrobbled, so there might be a way to listen to podcasts through Last.fm. That would be an interesting thing to add to Last.FM, is a podcast radio station or something.

"Right. Last.fm is a global service, so we will be available in the US."

Right, that makes sense... Let's hope they're going to release it outside of the world..eh.. the US too.

Man, I really wanted this more for scrobbling the music I stream from my PC than for the streamed stations. Dammit.
