God dammit Microsoft. Just come out and say it, don't lead us on and disappoint us further when you finally have to balls to say it's canceled.

You'd think that for a computer company, Microsoft would know the correct meaning of the term "bandwidth."

It's not just a computing term, it's also used as "the resources needed to complete a task or project."

Derp derp.

So basically instead of it being canceled (as Jackson said), MS is putting it on 'hold' until someone with a lot less creative talent can take over the project.

Awesome.

Well, you've got a couple of options here. Do you want Uwe Boll or Michael Bay?

Uwe Boll will box the hell out of anyone in his way. So there's no choice really :[

Honestly I don't even really care anymore.

Revive Halo in about 8 years and surprise everybody with a new release.

If one side says it's canceled, it's canceled. MS just wants to call it on hold since as the IP holder they stand to make a lot of money and would like to work with Peter Jackson.

MS has shown a poor understanding of Hollywood ever since their boneheaded attempt to barge in with the first Halo movie, which gave them an instant bad rep with most of Hollywood.

If you want to know what's up, all you have to do is pay attention to Variety. They know the ins and outs of Hollywood, if they say a project is in turnaround it's in turnaround. If they say it's dead, it's dead. Right now, it's dead.

It's "on hold" because they couldn't get a studio due to the rising cost of the film...and so Peter Jackson is doing District 9. woot.
