During a recent event showcasing Borderlands, MTV Multiplayer spotted something pretty interesting. While Gearbox president and founder Randy Pitchford was switching through some debug menus to get to one particular weapon he wanted to show off, the database he was pulling from had well over three million entries.
These entries ranged from sniper rifles to Uzis to rocket launchers, each with their own specific effects. One gun had fire elemental damage attached to it, while another had ice damage, for example. There were a total of 3,166,880 -- an impressive number, to say the least. But with the game still a few months off, there's a real possibility that number could climb even higher. Who does Gearbox think we are, Burt Gummer?

I hope they don't have a trophy to "discover" or "collect" all combinations of weapons in the game.

Borderlands and Alpha Protocol have quickly become a couple my most anticipated titles of the Fall. Bonderlands has a staggering amount of potential as an open world FPS/RPG. There simply aren't any else out there like this and that's pretty exciting. Let alone the potential for co-op.
If last year was the year for awesome sequels and old IPs, this Fall might suprise with all new properties. Borderlands, Alpha Protocol, Dark Void, Dragon Age, Saboteur.

I think (and hope) it's more like:
Gun Class: Uzi/Pistol
Gun: So... desert eagle... or ak-47, M21 etc...
Ammo Type: Normal/Piercing/Poison/Electric
Handle: ?
Ammo Capacity:
Weight:
Barrel:
and more.... =)
But i can see your point with:
Uzi
Uzi +1 Fire
Uzi +2 Fire...
*Hope your wrong though =P

I play WoW for the epically satisfying and addictive gameplay, love the customization level but I realize it's not the pinnacle. :D

I was promised a gazillion weapons. Any less, and I'll sue for false advertisement!
