You'd think a game like this would try to appeal to a certain crowd and come with limited edition 12" pressings of said albums.

This is gonna be a hard purchase for me as a vivid Jay-Z/Eminem fan I've heard everything Eminem has put his hands on. The only thing that would seal the deal for me is the Eminem track that was cut from The Wash Soundtrack. That's a diamond in the rough right there

please, the last thing i want is more vinyl. also, you gotta remember a lot of non-dj's are going to be buying this game, it isn't 1970 anymore, turntables are far from standard. so what are they going to do with a LE vinyl, hang it on their wall?

Yeah. Funny thing is, I'd probably play this more than I do my Wii Fit...not that I'm going to buy it or anything.

You obviously haven't seen the mountains of GH:Aerosmith packs that every retailer was desperately trying to shift earlier this year.
Similarly, i'll be picking this flop up when its $20 6 months after release.

Stand schmand. It should probably come with some lube and a rape-whistle for as much as they're going to end up charging.

Going by the above picture it looks like a DJ table that folds out of the box if you don't already have a DJ table. (Like Kramer's coffee table book)

Then again, that's probably the Redonkulous Edition that will retail for $50 more than this one.

as cool as this sounds, i don't see myself spending that much [[let alone the $120]] for this game.

...coming from someone who's buying the prestige edition. :/

I'm gonna buy the 120 bucks edition just for the Eminem/Jay-Z CD. If there's unreleased music on it, I gotta buy it.

Not the special edition with the CD's and stand.

I bought the Full Band Kit for Rock Band 1 (imported from the US to the UK for over 200 pounds), upgraded to real e-drumkit with a custom made MIDI to USB converter and never, ever, ever regretted that purchase.

I'm looking forward to this game, but $120 is enough. The music I can download, and I can put the turntable on my lap. I don't think I would want to stand to play anyway.

$120 was too much to begin with.

In my pre-coffee morning daze, I read this and thought that this edition was $120, and I was mildly considering a purchase. Not a chance of me buying the REGULAR for $120-I already have enough plastic instruments in my house to recreate Lego Rockband by melting down some of my spare guitars...

I assume it's the "Renegade Edition" because they did a song called Renegade together.

Yes, Eminem actually produced the song called 'Renegade' for Jay-Z's Blueprint 2 album and is considered a cult classic in hip-hop. He also produced most of Obie Trice's debut album as well as his own Encore album

Actually, he produced the song "Renegade" for Royce 5'9", and THAT version is the underground classic, as it never made it onto an album and hasn't been widely heard/played. Then, somehow the track ended up on Blueprint 2 with Jay-Z replacing Royce. Nas later used the track against Jay-Z on the diss track "Ether" stating that, "Eminem killed you on your own song." Jay-Z hasn't done a song with Eminem since.

I'll take "Little Known Hip-Hop Trivia" for $200, Alex.

I just hope that the M rating would be justified, by having NWA classics like "Fuck tha Police" in DJ Hero.

Just wondering what crowd they're trying to get. While it would be great for old kids to rock out to their favorites unblemished by censors - it sure would put a damper on youth group parties at the church ;)

Sorry kids, better stick with Rock Band!

btw - not passing judgment; just curious

I can clear afew things up here as I work in a the UK warehouse that is packing the normal version of dj hero and renegade. The case comes with 4 screw in legs underneath it that turn it into a table. The controler has gold peices rather than silver. The CD is a compilation of Jay Z and Eminem tracks. Apart from that its the same as the normal version.
Oh, and the bx it all comes in is a slightly different cardboard.
That hurts and cuts me atleast 3 times a day.
