Tools of Destruction felt a bit more mature which fit with the evolution to the PS3. Like the last commenter said, it was more story driven and Ratchet is not a wise cracking character. Yet I found it to be just as funny as past games. And from what I see in the trailer for A Crack in Time I am confident this game will have even more humor than last considering Nefarious is back and Quark seems to have an even larger role.

ahh, thanks. it didn't bother me enough to look up a solution, but the game is better with it gone.

I don't have overscan on my Samsung 1080p TV. There's "Just Scan," which is basically 1:1, and 16:9, which zooms the image in a bit. It's a fault with the game's programming. Every other game I run on Just Scan in 1080p looks fine.

Ha ha ha! The new trailer is hilarious. R&C always have great trailers (not to mention some of the best TV ads for any game ever http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uH2dM_LLKJg) but this is probably the best so far. Insomniac keep outdoing themselves in regards to the presentation.

The animation is looking fantastic, and if the Tools of Destruction was hailed as being as close to a Pixar movie as you can get in a game, this game looks to finally break that expectation. Looking forward to the fall. :)

I just had a mindgasm about the Construct-o-Weapons.
I didn't like the upgrading system in ToD so this new feature is definitely a pleaser.

I don't know why the people who wanted MP were downvoted, Joystiq readers sure are unpredictable...

I absolutely LOVE the R&C and it has a great replay value to me, even without MP, I always play it for like 4 or 5 times. With that said, I wouldn't mind MP, I'm actually looking forward to it, as it would only add to the immense replay value it already has and foster and please its devoted community!

I don't. Your claim is false.

On another note, it's good to see that Ratchet looks like himself again, unlike in the first pictures released.

Hopefully this one will be much more challenging. ToD had great humor, worlds etc. but there was just no challenge and that much of varied gameplay I expect from a platformer. Felt more of a third person shooter.

@ sly

do you have your tv's aspect ratio set to 16:9 or to just scan?

When ever i play wipeout HD with the AR set to just scan, the very top of the screen would be very distorted. I don't have those issues when i have the aspect ratio set to 16:9 though.

As someone who has never played a Ratchet and Clank game before... This looks really cool, but I am worried that I might be really behind when this does eventually come out...............

Its true that it's a gimmick which is becoming increasingly common in games, but it feels entirely appropriate for the Ratchet series...as some games shouldn't have multiplayer. like ratchet, sly cooper, and bioshock. this is coming from a multiplayer lover............
