The locations of the first Microsoft stores have been revealed! Folks living near Mission Viejo in Orange County, Calif. and Scottsdale, Ariz. will be the first to check out Microsoft's brick-and-mortar retail spots when they appear in their local malls this fall. Those living in Orange County will likely do so after long days of underage drinking, Death Cab for Cutie concerts and slow-motion firearm assaults.
(Sorry, we don't have any jokes to make about the Arizona location. Nobody ever made a show about sexy teenagers there.)

I wouldn't mind that one bit. Mr. Gate's face (at least in that picture) isn't that bad to look at. DSG is just fugly and annoying to see.

I also live in Arizona, and I think it's alright for the most part. Thing I hate the most is how far west I am, Waddell....it's boring as all shit out here.

I live in Arizona too. It's not a bad place to live. I could do with some more rain clouds...
I'm guessing this mall is going to go in the Scottsdale mall. That's a shame. I think it would be better suited for the Tempe outdoor mall. It's a much better place to be on the weekend with all the free shows plus the night life in Arizona. idk, what do you guys think.

It'd probably be suited for Foothills Mall in Tucson, seeing as that's where an Apple store is...

I would think the best places for this to go would be Biltmore Fashion Park or in the Tempe Marketplace like MarkHawk said. And I will say, there are plenty of places here that really do suck.
The art scene here is lagging too, First Friday rocks....but I need more than one day a month to check out the local artist fare.
I used to live downtown Phx....wished I lived more North...like Flagstaff

Scottsdale fashion square already has a sony store. I hope that they place the microsoft store across the food court as to have west side story-esc gang fights.

Would you walk between the stores methodically snapping your fingers in some sort of dramatic pulsating rhythm, as if to say "bring it"?

Mission Viejo is a convenient enough location, but I don't quite follow why I'd be compelled to go check the store out :P Maybe if they had schweet deals on MS points, buuuuut I doubt it.

One of my jobs is right across the street from fashion square. Scottsdale is definitely the "beautiful people" section of the phoenix metro area. I'm happy they are finally realizing how big phoenix is getting and were finally getting some attention from the video game publishers.
