I thought Penance was the chick from Generation X with the red hard-as-diamond skin. Maybe I'm a little rusty on my Marvel lore....

For those that don't know, here's information on Speedball/Penance:

It's interesting that his new powers work through pain (hence his name) and that he wears a suit that contains 612 internal spikes to trigger those powers. He can tolerate a lot of pain.

Yeah, Penance used to be Speedball.
And, is it just me, or is all the toted "Combo powers" thats key to the game looking more and more.... repetitive...?

Honestly, as long as the game is better looking and less buggy than the previous MUA, I'm in. As far as repetition goes, I spent at least an hour in MUA just throwing respawning demons off a cliff for an achievement, so it obviously doesn't take much variety to please me.

I hope Cable is playable so I can put him on a team with Deadpool. He's featured in the trailer, but as far as I know Marvel hasn't confirmed him as a playable character yet. I hold out hope ...

Penance looks way cool considering all his powers are off how much damage he takes, but other than that he's a total pussycake story wise. Can't wait for this game.

What's with showing CA tricking Iron Man by shaking his hand with a joybuzzer as it were, then seconds later showing them first meeting. Sequential editing FTL?

That didn't look like the same meeting. She-Hulk and War Machine were standing with Iron Man when Cap electrocuted him. In the scene after that, Black Widow, Mr. Fantastic and War Machine were standing with him.

Well, there are a bunch of characters I like, and I don't have much problem with mindless 4 player co-op button mashing. Civil War is a great excuse to let the heroes beat on each other. You'd almost think Marvel did it entirely for this video game.
Not sure about Captain America using Joker's joybuzzer on Iron Man. Deadpool would do that. Deadpool is immune to copyright infringement. Because he said so.
Plotline-wise, Phoenix/Jean Grey shouldn't be in this, but the costume is sweet so no complaints.
Oh, but then they had to include Bleedball. I mean SPeedball. Erm, "Penance".
Hell, I'm still buying it, just won't preorder it. Hard decision is getting all my friends to get it for the SAME SYSTEM.

I'm glad Juggernaut is in the game. He was one of my favorite characters to play as in X-Men Legends 2.
