If the likes of Tom Clancy's HAWX and Ace Combat are too arcade-y for you, you'll be pleased to hear that a demo of IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey from Russian developer 1C has landed on the Marketplace. It's the closest thing yet to a true flight combat simulator on 360.
The demo weighs in at 1.22GB and includes a set of tutorial missions plus one sortie from The Battle of Britain. All things you'd know yourself if you'd already grabbed the demo via the dash or web Marketplace here.

It's in my queue but i'm not sure how well I'll like it. It looks good, but kinda not sure on how well it will play.

I played it, and I found it kinda boring. That, and it was hard as hell to down a single plane.

WOAH. Was definately NOT expecting this. Im going to go download this ASAP. AWESOME. I am stoked for this. I love flight sims and there has not been one single realistic flight sim on the xbox, ever. Im expecting this wont be like blazing angels or anything.

Take note..."If the likes of Tom Clancy's HAWX and Ace Combat are too arcade-y for you" from the opening paragraph :D
Planes, do not, just fall out the sky with a few bullets. It takes lots.
Personally, I'm enjoying the demo. About time we had a decent flight sim
