Not a photoshop substitute.
They come up with a worthwhile reason to get a DSi, and I'll think about buying one. It'll be tough change my mind too, I still use the original DS.

I agree. It's already in English in Europe, so we in North America should have it as well.

Whats that sound? Oh! It's the wahmbulance! Quit whining about a shitty little update with Facebook, and imagine having to wait about 6 months for any decent game to come out over here because we have to wait for it to be translated into 4 other languages. Then you can QQ about your precious Facebook.

I use an Acekard 2i.
I buy my retail games.
I dump my retail games onto my AK2i.
I do not use Facebook.
I like to buy DSiWare.
Nintendo will not let me buy DSiWare because I simply cannot afford to update at this point in time.

Screw you.

WHy don't you just play the games how they were intended on the DS carts and you wouldn't have any problems.

It's not like the PSP, DS has dozens if not hundreds of excellent games to play. Emulation is not needed for something with such a diverse and excellent library.

Using a flashcart for your own game dumps is perfectly logical. Who wants to carry around 20 DS cartridges when they can carry one? Not to mention Moonshell.

@Adv2k1
The PSP has dozens of great games, too. It'd have more if people claiming to run homebrew for emulations weren't in fact stealing the few dozen good commercial games without compensating the developers.

Internet Reality: Everyone with homebrew claims they only copy games they purchased.
Actual Reality: Everyone I've met with a hacked unit is proud to display their sticks brimming with stolen games.

People hack the PSP and the DS for the same reason--everyone wants something for nothing. Pure and simple.

I lost some of my games (like three or four) so I need my flashcart to play my backups of them until I find them again (hopefully they are somwhere in my house) :(

Wow, this may give some developers the incentive to develop DSi-exclusive games. GREAT

Honestly now that the DSi has its own flash card slot its only a matter of time before someone jailbreaks the whole system with a custom OS making flashcards unnecessary.

Looks like Nintendo is finally catching up with Sony in the futile antipiracy arms race, This in part because it is hitting homebrew and while most of you pirates are untalented simply hitting the latest torrent site to see what new roms they can snag .... most of your homebrewers are going to look at this like a rubics cube that needs solving, and they will, Conversely it must be said not all pirates lack tallent and not all homebrewers have it lol.

Both sony and nintendo should wise up and give homebrew a nice sandbox to play in... of course if they did that the companies who are licensing the rights to make games for the systems would throw up their hands and protest asking why they should have to pay licensing fees if some random guy is able to write their own game, even if its free, without having to pay licensing.

Their other option is to attempt to pacify people on mass by adding every bell and whistle under the sun so people don't feel the need to gravitate towards homebrew, unfortunately most of the time their attempts are lackluster at best.

So in short its a futile fight to maintain the statuesque.

Honestly, I think Nintendo and Sony need to look at what Microsoft has done with XNA to let gamers tinker with making their own games and submitting them to the digital download stores for approval and eventually purchase. This would require loosening the restrictions on licensing for digital downloads, but it would go a long way. Full licensing could still be in place for full commercial games, but this would open up the downloadable content to more parties. Sony is already starting to move that way what with cutting development costs for the PSP and such. Hopefully Nintendo will too.
