No demo for Fat Princess makes me a sad panda. It's the one thing I can't get used to on PSN.

Shatter and Fat Princess are not effective Summer of Arcade counter-programming unless they let me try out a demo.

I had a pretty good time with Brave Story. I bought it on a UMD a while back and I thought it was pretty good. It got some good reviews. The battle system is classic turn based but the graphics and animation kept me interested. I'm guessing you could find a UMD copy for less than $15 if you look around, though, as I got it for $20 a while ago.

I enjoyed Brave Story as well. Better then most other "remake" RPGs on the system (Tactics notwithstanding)

Ugh, no Fat Princess demo and a $15 price point?

That's a little too much money to put down on a game without first trying it. I don't care what hype surrounds the game, I have my own gaming tastes, and am not willing to buy a game on hype alone (ok, so I bought the Red Steel when the Wii launched... but after that - no more hype buys!)

jem, what do you mean by moving on? do you mean you're leaving the 'stiq, or do you mean you're just gonna stop doing these posts? both are sad, but the second is a lot less sad.

also - have to buy 2 $20 PSN cards for fat princess, COD:WAW map pack 3 next week, and some new rock band 2 songs.

Yeah, I'm leaving the 'Stiq. Sad times, indeed. But I wouldn't be leaving if the new opportunity weren't totally awesome. Which it is. Can't say where I'm headed yet, but feel free to follow me on twitter (@Yembles) to stay up to date.

i too am a bit bummed there's no fat princess demo. i got a code, actually two codes (after i complained the first didnt work) for the beta from one of the give-aways, but neither one worked for me. after the second didnt work, i just gave up trying.

dunno if i'll drop the $15 on this or not. it sounds like fun, but i have so little time to game these days, stupid "responsibilities."

I had a lapse of judgement and put all my available spending money at the moment on xbox live for games on demand (and other things), so I'll have to hope my friend gets fat princess and/or the watchmen game so I can mooch off him :P

Just watch the movie. Or better yet, read the comic.

Watchmen game (1 & 2) are pretty awesome if you like old school beat-em-ups and of course the watchmen themselves. Funny thing is I bought the first game over PSN but picked up the bundle with both games, art work and the BD for $45. So, even though I got a good deal I still totally wasted money on the whole thing. At least both games are on disc this time.

Good luck to you, Jem Alexander. After Alexander Sliwinski leaves for his greener pastures will the guy who replaces him be named Sliwinski ?

Why does Sony keep releasing Spec Ops games? Out of the thousands of games they have, why keep releasing them (almost) every week.

That 1945 game is hard as balls (thanks Joystick for the week-early swag). There are moments were it is completely impossible to survive. Still, I love me some shmups...

Also, do we really have to wait until October for full current PSP games to get PSN releases (I'm looking at you Rock Band Unplugged)? I love the game, but can't justify buying a UMD version when half the content will then reside on my memory stick.
