If you like these type of games, then why not? I reinstall the first one every now and then.
The sequel isn't quite as bad as they say either. It has some pretty important improvements over the original, but the pirate island theme just pales in comparison to banana republic. Furthermore, it becomes a lot more tedious than the original. Still, if you can get it for a bit over three bucks, it's definitely worth it.

Hmm, I suspect you're remembering something else. The Tropico series hasn't been released on anything but Windows and OSX... so dunno what you were playing on your DS or your phone.

I will probably buy this, because my hard copy of Tropico has been missing for years now. Plus, I want to replay the pirate one so I can rejudge if it's as awful as I remember (not TERRIBLE really, just kind of boring).
It would be especially nice if they put the Mac versions on this disc too, but that might be too much to hope for. Either way, any time playing Tropico is a good time. In fact the soundtrack just might be my 'going to the post office' music today, this rain is pretty depressing.
