This weekend's Steam sale is 50 percent off Relic titles, including the developer's latest, Dawn of War II. Not only that, but a DoW II purchase also includes the "There is only war" DLC, which adds 8 new multiplayer maps, a map editor and more.
But wait, there's more! Since they're Relic games, Company of Heroes and the original Dawn of War are also included. Don't let the WWII theme turn you off from Company of Heroes; beyond its cliche setting is an enjoyably deep RTS experience and a long campaign -- definitely worth $10.

Dawn of War 2 is flipping awesome. I highly recommend everyone here at least give it a whirl, you will not be disappointed!

It's really just a reskin of Company of Heroes, the gameplay is almost identical just a different setting. I've played both and I still think CoH is the better game, but I guess it depends on what kind of style you're into.

You're way off WiredKnight. It's nothing like CoH "reskinned". The RPG elements and multiplayer are much deeper than CoH.

Oh that's true, I forgot about that. Don't get me wrong, they're both great, but I when I played DoW2, I couldn't help but feel like I had played it before.

Why isn't the homeworld series on steam with these relic titles?

Was wondering the same thing.
I recently played the first one and liked it.

"There is Only War" is a generous free patch, not DLC. Please don't blur the lines between updates more than they have been already.
Expansions: Substantial (generally boxed) content.
DLC: Smaller, often poor value-for-money updates.
Patches: Free, often necessary, somtimes generous additions to the game.

The only one blurring the lines here is you. DLC = Downloadable Content, it has nothing to do with how big it is or how much it costs.

Its deceptive wording. "There is only war" is free to anyone that bought DoW 2 at any point in time, from any source.

Sweet, I've been thinking about getting Dawn of War 2 for a while, this clinches it.
