Allow Criss Angel to Mindfreak you, get a free (virtual) couch

Presumably to entice virtual patrons into PlayStation Home, Sony's offering up a free viewing of Criss Angel's Mindfreak on August 6th. As if virtually watching a magic ~~trick~~ illusion show starring the often farcical Criss Angel weren't enough, the company is enticing folks to watch with a free coffin couch (pictured above).

Even though we're pretty sure that Glenn Danzig trademarked Mr. Angel's style back in the early '80s, Angel's distinctive couch isn't one we'll be passing up. Now all we have to do is lure some unsuspecting Home patron back to our virtual place, show them the coffin couch, and immediately Quincy them. Good times!

pretty cool Danzig reference there. Would have been better if I was listening to Danzig, though.

I cannot live with that guy he is so annoying he is so frightning and he doesn't wear a shirt...

Well, cool to know. Personally, though, Danzig (the band) is one of the greatest sounding metal bands of all time.

haha great episode. Not so much a danzig fan anymore, his new stuff is awful. but his first 4 albums are always great

Zoidberg, in Aqua Teen Hunger Force there was an episode (Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future) with Danzig in it where those lines came from.

He has some decent music he put out to go along with his original act.

I'm not interested enough in Home to have to withstand watching Criss Angel. Back to Fat Princess! (I've finally been able to get into some online games!)

A few weeks ago I imagined an MMO where the player upgrades himself and gains experience by allowing himself to be exposed to advertisements. I see Sony has been working round the clock to make this a reality.

A TV show I don't care about AND an item that'll probably take ten minutes to download, both in a crappy non-game I don't use? Awesome, Sony!

I suppose this won't be available in Canada. Uncool, I want the free couch. This is the type of crap that will get people to watch your stuff or play your demos, why aren't more publishers putting out demos that unlock free Home stuff? inFAMOUS did it.

What better way to get me to open Home for the first time in months than to include one of the few human beings I have zero respect for. ...and a free pretend couch?

Can someone explain to me why Quincying is so funny? I just don't get what the big deal is, Some chick was dancing and randomly turned into a freakish person...so what? Are you supposed to assume the person watching is beatin it and you just gave them a reverse boner? It still isn't funny! Am I just used to the weirdness of the internet and perhaps desensitized because this doesn't rank very high on the internet weirdness scale for me.
