Mysterious PlayStation 3 Slim listing appears on Amazon.de [update]

A listing has been found on the German Amazon shop for "PlayStation 3 Konsole slim." There are no other details on the listing -- no date, no picture, no price, and even the platform is listed as "platform independent." The listing is so new and so devoid of info that nobody has even posted any user reviews of this nonexistent product.

With all the stuff we've heard about the supposed Slim, we have no doubt that it is, or will be, a real product -- but this Amazon listing does little to convince. We will, however, keep checking Amazon for more info about the Slim, whenever we log back in to see if Starcraft: Ghost is back in stock.

Update: To be clear, the image that has appeared on the German Amazon shop was submitted by a user and not by the product's manufacturer. Sorry, folks!

I have patience issues! If i miss out on the BestBuy bundle with 2 games for free while waiting for this ill be sad. Or if i get the bundle and this thing is announced like a day later. UGH!!!!!!!!

Go get the Bundle, you never know if the slim will have failure issues, and a PS3 is a PS3

i bet the slim is uglier than the version we're buying right now.

Yeah, I'm not even interested in a PS3 and I'd go with a bundle like that now over the chance that there is a slimmer version.

If its more expensive, the screw the Slim, but if it offers more for the price im gonna spend anyway then I want it. Plus!, its arrival could cause a price drop.

This rumor has been flying around for a while, my guess is it's true. They did the same thing with the PS2. Wait until it comes out, then you'll have more buying options. I'm pissed because when I bought my 360, it dropped by 50$ the next week- and the rumors for that we're all over the place.

Don't expect the PS3 to be released anytime soon. Amazon knows nothing more than we do about the PS3 Slim rumours. They have a history of creating placeholder pages for possible future releases, which aren't necessarily true or imminent. So go ahead and buy your PS3.

Knowing Sony, the slim will be more expensive than the current ps3.

I bought my fatty PS3, but goddamn. No component cables? Composite? Jesus Sony, wtf?

Buy an 8 dollar HDMI cable. It's the better move.

I'm sure Sony had a specific timing in mind to announce the new product... but they might as well acknowledge it existence at this point... we all know it's coming...

Anyway. If packaging shots were real, then slim is very close. Enclosures are made for intermediate H/W revision constantly - and often intentionally bear no resemblance to projected end design. But leaked packaging shots means that slim reached PR/marketing already signifying it is almost ready for release.

i don't know if it's to be believed or not. is it amazon selling or a store through amazon. i've come across things looking for ps1 memory cards that are definitely not official despite the description.
