Regardless of what your weekend activities may have been, we know it was hard to enjoy yourself, knowing that people in Japan and Europe were sharing their DSi photos on Facebook higglety pigglety, while yours were trapped by a lack of DSi 1.4 firmware like Zod and crew in the Phantom Zone.
Finally, said photos can be set free with an update to your DSi arriving at 8 p.m. EST in North America. Can you even wait until then? Yes, we imagine you can.

Yeah, the majority of us will likely not use this much, but it's still a nice feature for a lot of Nintendo's audience. I'm once again regretting importing my DSi and not waiting for a US one so I could try this out.

If a device can do something via a simple software update, it should be able to do it.
I don't need facebook on my DS, but someone else might. You're assuming everyon'e situation is the same as yours, too. What about when you're at a friends's house on their wifi? You could upload pics to your facebook page without being near your computer. I would just use my phone, but like I said, I think if a device can do something, I think it should. Just like I think the Wii should play DVDs, despite everyone having a DVD player.

@Sam: try the .jpg's instead. or, the photos are still on your ds and you never transferred them to your SD Card from the DS's memory. Once they're on the SD Card, they're in a DCIM folder like every other digital camera stores them.
