Yeah, the majority of us will likely not use this much, but it's still a nice feature for a lot of Nintendo's audience. I'm once again regretting importing my DSi and not waiting for a US one so I could try this out.

If a device can do something via a simple software update, it should be able to do it.
I don't need facebook on my DS, but someone else might. You're assuming everyon'e situation is the same as yours, too. What about when you're at a friends's house on their wifi? You could upload pics to your facebook page without being near your computer. I would just use my phone, but like I said, I think if a device can do something, I think it should. Just like I think the Wii should play DVDs, despite everyone having a DVD player.

My computer won't open the photos from the DS. It says that it doesn't know what to do with .bin files. D:

@Sam: try the .jpg's instead. or, the photos are still on your ds and you never transferred them to your SD Card from the DS's memory. Once they're on the SD Card, they're in a DCIM folder like every other digital camera stores them.

@ill trooper: Or you could just not have a Facebook in the first place. That's always the best option.

I actually find facebook pretty convenient for keeping up with friends since I've come to college. A lot of people binge the first week or few weeks they have it, but after the initial rush of novelty it just turns into kind of a convenient tool
