As long as the aliens don't pull a "Contact", I'm onboard for this.

Okay done and it was the best of them all. Why does Bethesda refuse to let me give them money? "Last dlc"? Wtf? Just like with Oblivion they will finish. What do they have this year WET and Warrior? Why not keep the fans happy with a new expansion here and there? We WILL keep buying. Now that the achievement limit has raised Oblivion could use just one more (please). It seems sensible to keep a small team on expansions for the 2 franchises while they wait years for the next big fix. Am I crazy? Am I the only one interested in more Elder Scrolls or Fallout DLC? How about they just pick the best fan mods, give em a cut, and sell em on live?

I can hardly conceive of playing this game more. Much like Oblivion, I enjoyed it a ton when I played it, but I played it so much I was actually mildly repulsed by the idea of playing it further when I was done. Maybe I get too much into the grinding, I dunno.

Apparently the quests are a bit boring and most of it is you running round small corridors blasting aliens. But I also heard the ending is cool, so consider this second-hand info balanced.

I actually just beat it a few minutes ago and it was kind of underwhelming. It's VERY linear, and like The Baron said it's just mowing down aliens in small corridors.

The end was kind of cool but there weren't any big descisions to make so it was just like "that's it?" at the end. The new weapons are badass though.

It's also pretty short, like 3 hours or so. Which I guess is good considering how linear and small the spaces are.

I like the other DLC, well except the Pitt which was boring. Anchorage is great for right when you start the gmae, cause you get some pretty powerful gear. I love Broken Steel and Point Lookout, but I just think Mothership Zeta was average.

Can you tell us what ammo type the alien weapons use? Also, are/will we be able to get more of it?

Ive had the alien blaster for a while now, but I havent used it since I dont want to run out of ammo and I havent had need of it yet.

The big rifle type gun uses special ammo but there's a ton of it on the ship. I used it for the whole DLC and I still had like 1300 ammo when I was done. I think all the new weapons use the same ammo (I know the "grenade launcher" does), but I found a lot of alien power cells up there too, which goes with the gun you find at the crash site.

More ammo than you'll probably need. Some people were saying it's tough, but I was level 20 when going up there and I had no problem 1 or 2 shotting the aliens. So if you go up there around that level you own't have to use too much ammo.

Game pseudo scales to your level so your actual level doesnt matter.

i thought Fallout didnt do the level scale thing because that was one of the biggest complaints about obllivion. In fact, im pretty sure if you try to take on a Super Mutant Overlord at level one you will be fucked

The baddies in the Main Quest are scaled. Everything else is pretty much non-scaled.

It is already live on Amazon too. I am trying to live MS Point free now that I have my balance down to 0. I figure it will be impossible and annoying in some cases (for instance 'Spolision Man still isn't available via Amazon), but I really hate having to convert real money into Billy Bucks.

Oh wait nevermind the thing on Amazon is for them to ship you one of those cards with the code on it not to just give you the code like they do with XBLA games. How lame.

I know I'll get shit for this but I'm severely disappointed with this new DLC. Somehow it just doesn't feel like Fallout anymore. It steers away from the whole post-apocalyptic setting being in space and fighting aliens.

Who the fuck am I kidding, I'll buy this when I get home and play it for 20+ hours.

The reason there are aliens in the game is because UFOs and aliens were a huge part of the culture in the 50s, which is, as everyone knows, the Fallout Universe is stuck in. I think it's fantastic that they put this in the game.

The aliens (or references to them) have been in both prior Fallouts. The real question is, where is my Tardis? It is satire Bethesda, you can get away with it.

But it's still fun. It's like Operation Anchorage, depending on how much you'd like that, you'll love this. I found it rather enjoyable, and I REALLY hope Bethesda releases another DLC, but that's unlikely.

So sad it's the last. Imagine if the next chapter went the other way: Journey to the Center of the Earth style.

BTW, since this is the last, will there be a finale of some sort, a sacrifice that you must make for the good of the planet or some shit? What do you think?

Nope there's no major decisions to make at the end. You just do what you have to do and bam it's over and you go back to the wasteland. There was potential for something massive to happen (I won't spoil it), but they didn't do anything with it.

Any new content is awesome, but I'll be steering clear of the new weapons. Shiny polished alien weaponry takes away from the rugged badass feeling I get from my cannibalistic sniper.

Yeah, what's with all the XBL content NOT coming out on Tuesday? This came out today, Turtles is on Wednesday and the Batman demo is Friday. I though they just did one big update a week - Tuesday? Don't get me wrong, I like the spread out fashion of it, but is it expected to be the norm now?

....and I must say I'm not impressed

Been playing it all day today. It's quite buggy (freeze's,doors not working etc.)
The enemies are really annoying, new weapons are nothing special and you'll have it finished fairly quick.

This is a real let down seeing as Point Look out was sooooo good. :(

Yeah it was massively buggy. I had to restart the game a good few times as it either froze during gameplay or would stick on an inventory screen (such as a container) despite the pause menu working.

It wasn't bad, but by far the weakest of all the DLCs.

I didn't run into any bugs (360 version here) but I agree it was a letdown compared to Point Lookout. The only really good thing about Zeta is that it leveled me up enough to be able to go to Point Lookout again without getting annihilated :)

I'm playing it right now and it's okay. Like other people have said it's just hallway massacres, which would have been fine if Fallout's shooting mechanics were as fun as a regular FPS. I am however very much enjoying the historical characters although I am deeply disappointed that there's no buddy cop action with Lincoln
