Naruto, Tales artists create special costumes for Tekken 6

Tekken 6 continues to expand its repertoire of manga-inspired special costumes. Masashi Kishimoto, creator of Naruto, is collaborating with Namco Bandai by creating an alternate outfit for Lars (seen above). This is the second costume from a famous mangaka for Tekken 6, the first being CLAMP's design for Jin.

In addition to Kishimoto's outfit, Tekken 6 will also feature an alternate costume for Zafina designed by Mutsumi Inomata, character designer of Tales of Destiny and Tales of Graces (after the break). While some were afraid these costumes would remain a strictly Japan-only affair, Siliconera reports that all three of the special costumes revealed so far will be available in the US version as well when it launches on October 27th.

Explain yourself, I thought the Pain arc was very well done it had a lot of character development and twist, of course the whole reviving thing was a bit too much but still 4th Hokage FTW

i thought the pain arc was good, at least it wasnt naruto befriending an annoying brat and then becoming friends in the end while also fighting an enemy who isnt as important as the annoying brat is to naruto.

Either they really think this is a good idea, or the creators of Tekken think the general masses are stupid enough to buy anything Naruto related, even if it's just the original artist making up alternate costumes.

yeah, my main problem with the anime was that it took way too long to get to the point. 1 manga volume = like 20 episodes.

Tite Kubo (creator of Bleach) would have been a better costume designer IMO.

I think Ralph Lauren would've been a better costume designer...

Honestly, who gives a fuck about costumes anyways? Wether you wear a fancy shirt or a fucking garbage bag, you know someone online will kick your ass in it anyways.

Steve Ditko/Jack Kirby could kick Kubo's ass.

Ya... No. Even Naruto's jumpsuit is better than most of the spandex abominations in American comics.

But keep in mind that most of Kirby's characters were created in the 60's and were meant to appeal to a younger generation. Never speak ill of Kirby, sir.

Also, Katsuhiro Otomo is a much better artist than Kubo if you want to stay strictly manga.

Why? They all wear the same frickin' thing.

And it's an awful series.

There's no reason to think there wont be a Tite Kubo costume before all this is over. Maybe even, dare I say it, Kenichi Sonoda or Kia Asamiya? It's not like designing a costume takes a huge amount of time, it's just a questions of Namco asking them if they'd like to participate and how much money is going to change hands for it.

I don't work there anymore. Somehow I escaped and nabbed a job at a Gamestop, although I quit afterwards, since A) Here in the USA child labor's illegal, and B) I just found out Gamestop is evil.

These new costumes are getting a little insane. Nice addition though, I wonder if the game will have a costume edit option like TDR on the PSP.

Anyone see the Tekken 6 tapout shirts? Fucking awesome. I'm already on my way to get one.

Plus, they are in game. So I can wear one and feel extra bad ass. Also... I can't stain a virtual shirt with cheeto dust. :(
