You are right! even with better performance cars out there(yes thats a reply to you performance whores), Lamborghini has stood on its own class of prestige, when you see one of it's cars you immediately know it's a Lamborghini, not like other exotic automakers who make cars seem to come from the same mold as other exotics or race cars. I hope they include the brand on GT5, I can't wait to put my hands on a Diablo.

By their own class, you mean a class of cars who THINK they are fast, aren't, and still sound like they're fast?

Playing Gran Turismo online is like having sex with a porcupine - you'll get it on eventually, but in the end the experience won't be worth all the horrible pain it took getting in there.

No amount of Italian exotics will fix that. Especially on a PSP.

Step 1) Fire up GT5.
Step 2) Wait ten minutes to load the race you're looking for.
Step 3) Get supremely upset when you find only one other person who wants to race the course you want.
Step 4) After that person rage-quits, you reluctantly choose the circle track because it's the only course people play online.
Step 5) Start race and notice that everyone uses the Ford GT because they don't have to do silly things like 'break' or 'use driving skill' to play.
Step 6) Hit your PS3 with a hammer and curse Polyphony Digital for still making the SAME EXACT GAME for all these years, and go pre-order Forza 3.

I was OBSESSED with Gran Turismo up until I realized that the game they are putting out is stale and inferior product than their main competitor in every way. I'm more bitter about this series than I am about Nintendo abandoning their roots, which is saying something. So don't accuse me of sucking, as that isn't the case.

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker??

Downvote me if you want, but to give Polyphony Digital slack for charging you $40 for a fucking demo is allowing them to spoon feed you their crappy, non-evolving game.

There are other fish in the sea as far as racing sims go, now. They can't get away with it like they could in the nineties and early oughts - unless stupid consumers let them.

Chris, have you PLAYED Forza? You're acting like it's another arcadey type game like Burnout or Need For Speed. It isn't. It is just as realistic a sim as GT. It has been since its inception, and with them adding vehicle damage for 3, it's only getting MORE realistic.

The series has always had realistic driving physics and car tuning all the way down to individual gear ratios - just like Gran Turismo. So don't act like GT5 has a leg up on Forza in that regard, because it doesn't.

See, the thing is they DO rehash the same game time after time. Have you not been playing the same series as I have all these years? Nothing has changed. Period. It's prettier. There is that. But besides that it's literally the same game; with broken, stupid online play.

I'm not really into the whole simulation thing, but I've been playing Forza 2 a lot and I love it, it plays really well, there's a lot of customisation and tuning options, etc. I'll definitely be getting the third one, but what exactly makes Gran Turismo so much better?

Like I said, I'm not the most knowledgable person when it comes to simulations or even cars, but GT doesn't seem to play particularly differently, certainly not "better". and the A.I. is terrible,

I'll likely get GT5 when it's released as well, but so far all I see that it really has over Forza is the rally races, which sound awesome. More cars is a plus too, but honestly, 400+ is enough. I hate to see what slight modifications they've dregged up to get the total above 800. I've not played the demo of GT5 (paying money for something like that is ridiculous) so I can only base what I'm saying on the fourth game, but I definitely think Forza handles a lot more realistically, while still giving enough assist options for noobs.

If there was one critisism I had of GT, it was that I would like to be able to use my money to fix reckless damage I have inflicted on my car to motivate me not to cheat :D

Other then that, I don't much care for customizations unless it's interior or how shiney the cars are. Customizations do give you freedom, but really does nothing for realism except make the cars look tackier.

@ Snowblind:

They both handle equally as good, been playing GT since the first and Forza since the first, must say the differences are only in the controllers, Forza is an excellent game, I just don't bother with the external designs, but I love the tuning options and think GT should consentrate on these as well.

Both games need to also focus on money usage, I hate having too much spare cash that I can only spend on new cars unless I deserve to have that cash, GT4 allowed me to damage my car and still compete in the next races making the pits redundant and time wasting.

Damage is more integral to me then shiney designs, terrain is also more important to me. I love the idea of GT expanding into Rally and Nascar, but would also like F1 as well, because if anything, they are the most expensive and would easily be up there with the costs of Bugatti Veyrons and more. I think both games have a way to go, and have thier existing benefits.

Actually has a W16 engine, so its more like 2 V8's side by side ;). Other cool facts is the 4 turbos, 1001HP and 10 radiators total. Also at full throttle it consumes 100L of gas in 12 minutes, and with the prices today that would be 95$ (Canadian) of gas.

What's there to suck? Forza 3 has 7 Ferraris, 8 Porsches, 6 Lamborghinis and 11 Nissans THAT YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO DRIVE.

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about GT5 but this ongoing "We have more cars than any other game" bullshit is fucking retarded. No one wants to race a fucking PT Cruiser in the C class. GT5 may have more cars but that's nothing to brag about when 90% of those cars are fucking lame as shit.

Because Forza didn't already have those cars? The only one I'm sure they didn't have was the Veyron and the first game that I know of that got it was NFS: Undercover.

I'm not really sure what acquiring a license that other games have had for years accomplishes...

I don't mind there being a vast array of cars from crap to damn good if the game is always using up the cash you earn to fix your car and get it upgraded / cleaned etc, because I like the idea of working my way up the scale, if I wanted to play with a Lamborghini day one, I'd just buy an arcade racer like Burnout or NFS instead of a GT simulator. But what annoys me is when you have so many cars and its pointless buying half of them (eg, Corvette or Morris Marina) because you've made enough money within an hour of playing to buy you first Porsche or Lamborghini, that really sucks, and its a trait that GT has had issues with over the last few games.

@Captain Planet:

This is why REAL drivers in REAL life use GT for driving simulation.

If I drive an obscure Nissan/Ferrari/Lamborghini car in real life race driving, and I need it to be in a game so that I can test the car's ability with different modifications on different tracks, do you think I will be happy when I turn on Forza and find there is only "7 Ferraris, 8 Porsches, 6 Lamborghinis and 11 Nissans THAT YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO DRIVE", and not the actual car I am driving? No I damn well will not be happy.

Also, the weird and wonderful cars of GT are the biggest pull for me. I discover more about different cars from GT than anything else (all being in the one game). Mainstream cars are boring, even thought they may look/drive well.

They call it the real driving simulator for a reason you know.

... and I thought Captain Planet was cool :(
