I think its worse that they are increasing the price of MW2 for the PC and the brits. This could set an example for the rest of the industry.

Of course they are, how will they ever be nominated for Biggest Douche in the Universe Award if they didn't?

They switched roles with EA and became the corporate entity that just wants MONEY. (This excludes their wonderful but undeservingly punished slaves, Blizzard.)

Meanwhile, EA is now focused on what they should be focusing on: making GAMES, not crapfests.

Which one's winning in sales, inFamous or Prototype?

If Prototype is, then I officially hate sales numbers. If not, I love them.

Also, why 3 Activision posts in a row? Do you love them now?

We don't.

Prototype likely is winning just on its multiplatformness alone.

We curse Activision with one hand, and throw money at them with the other.

We. Are. All. Hypocrites.

Yeah but must of us do it begrudgingly with the only solaces being that some of the games are good quality and that the developers get some of the money too

Says you. I've been heading a boycott movement for months now, and haven't purchased a single new Activision title in a long while.

For all you ATVI haters, if you hate them so much but cant resist buying their titles then I suggest you just provide your patronage to the used game shelves at G-stop. That way you only contribute to GME coffers. Seems like the lesser of two evils if youre a hater.

Activision has easily replaced EA as my most hated publisher. Fuckers raise the price of COD:MW2 to $60 on PC and killed the Soldier of Fortune Franchise with the third game, which was made by one of their inner budget studios yet these assholes charged full price, $50 on PC and $60 on consoles for that piece of shit.

last i saw soldier of fortune was $ 5 - $ 15 on amazon.com and not long after release??

you dont expect the price of games to go up at some point in time?
or at least tests? time warner tried that crap with tiered internet in select markets and dropped the program after bad press.

if the same amount of people in Europe buy MW2 for the higher price as MW1 then activision and every other publisher knows they can charge more for high profile games...

heck most of the time i have seen games releasing at $ 40 now than games releasing over $ 60 like you claim...

therefore the price of games has somewhat decreased over time compared to the MUCH HIGHER cost of putting the game in your hands today.

activision has released a few $ 40 game this year and so have other publishers...

dont buy the game crybaby.. j/k but thats not going to stop 10 MILLION people from buying the game....

"inFAMOUS

.70 m

I couldn't find Prototype."

Just type Prototype in the search bar and you'll see:

.76m on X360 and .48 on PS3. 1.24 million to inFamous' .70m.

Ouch.

Yeah Activision!!! With so many other publishers cowering at your sheer dominance of the fall and exceeding Q2 expectations you and your wonderful leader certainly deserve a pat on the back. You go Bobby. Hell, even Sony can't ignore your massive power.

nobody was expecting a treyarch COD to become the highest selling COD game and now infinity ward is releasing COD:MW on the wii too, which may bring MW total sales pass WAW.

COD = activisions never-ending cash cow...

cod4- # 1 sales
cod4 DLC- # 1 DLC sales
cod5- # 1 sales
cod5 DLC- # 1 DLC sales
cod5 DLC- # 1 DLC sales

cod6- # 1 sales?
on and on...
