There was a time... Mechwarrior 2, for instance, blew my 10 year old mind. Interstate 76? Battlezone? Activision were one to keep an eye on.

Sadly, you're right, and they seem to have completely lost sight of their art and become a mere corporate presence.

blame that douche kotick. activision's douchiness is a direct result of being overexposed to kotick's douchiness.

10 bucks says the innovative action game is 'Action Hero'

Damn, I better go trademark that name.

I find it funny how a while ago EA was the most hated game developoers in the Biz and now Activision is the one everyone loves to hate.

the thing is, dead space and mirror's edge were really original, new IPs. activision released prototype which was its new IP, and it didn't really change anything.

Prototype was Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, with more blood and less story.

Bobby Kotick would commit sepaku rather than let his company publish or make an "innovative" game. Frankly there are too few innovative big budget games. I will agree that they are a lot of "good" games but innovative - give me a break. Marketing folk in the industry have ruined this term and it does not mean what it used to.

The only Bond game I want to see is one based on the old movies or the N64's GoldenEye.

Since the latter isn't going to happen, I'll go with option 1.

Or a spin-off like Nightfire or even EoN, those were actually really good, especially EoN.

I think the fact they actually got the stars from the 007 universe, and included actors like William Defoe(sp), Shannon Elizabeth, Heidi Klum and Mya(?) as actual voice over made the game even more like an authentic 007 movie. Love the game, and Nightfire to an extent.
