Massachusetts-based Zoo Tycoon developer Blue Fang announced yesterday that it has cut 15 staff. The company stated on its website that the staff reduction was "necessary" and that the team had developed a successful proprietary tool and tech to make "multi-platform products in less time and with significantly fewer resources." This "benefit" to the company's business meant it could "adjust both the size and mix of [the] development team going forward." The studio's World of Zoo should release on PC, Wii and DS this fall.

"Let's go of 15 staff?" Hmm, not sure on that one. Anyway, I still have an unopened copy of Zoo Tycoon 2 that was given away at E3 '08....so if that's ALL they're making well....better do something about it.

This could have been avoidable had they released an iPhone version of Zoo Tycoon. People eat this sort of shit up in the crApp Store.

I, Captain Planet, in no way take credit for coining the phrase "crApp store". Steve Jobs and 6 other douchie Apple execs are the sole creators, nay, pioneers of $1-3 mobile shovelware distribution.

Morning Jim, you have a minute? - I'd like to talk to you in my office. Hey, how'd you like that Sox game?
*shuffling sounds, door closing*
Jim, we're in the midst of restructuring, sales are down...stupid economy and we might not make it because we're not an auto company being given more bailouts in the form of cash for clunckers. We're going to have to let you and the rest of the QA department go. We're very sorry to be in this position.
On the bright side of things, your replacement is a 'tool', hahahaha you've been replaced by the very thing you've dedicated yourself to making - software. Ironic, eh?
Hey man, you keep those USB pens from the last trade show - I won't tell HR.
Robert from security will now escort you off the premises.
