Decent idea, but guaranteed they will be far more expensive than used copies, and most likely more than new copies, not to mention the laughingly small HD on the 360 (and I'm referring to the 120, anything less, well, what the fuck is wrong with you?). Until they release a REAL HD (That would be 1tb or better), stuff like this is worthless, even if it wasn't overpriced. As an example, I highly doubt you could fit every launch game for this service on an empty 120 hd. That is just asinine marketing. Storage is the one area all three have fucked up this gen, with sony coming the closest to getting it right.

Very nice titles. But I hope the hard-copy retail ones go on sale, I don't feel comfortable at all when I have a game and it's not on my shelf or collection.

I think cody's Viva Pinata observation is dead on, and you only need to look at sales of the game to see that. Most XBox 360 owners I know own it for the FPS titles, and a sports title here and there, Madden, NHL, etc.

He may be a douche about it, but I don't think he's off base in saying that putting Viva Pinata on the 360 was just asking for low sales. I even see a handful of people here mention how boring it is (which it's not, after an hour of playing, I was hopefully addicted for like 2 weeks, and I know of at least a handful of friends who were the same way).

If Viva Pinata had been a Nintendo published first party title on the Wii, I don't think it's too far fetched to believe it would have easily broken a few million in sales. When your majority of XBox 360 owners saw it, their first thoughts were "kiddie" and "casual". Anyone who's played the game for any amount of time knows that there's real depth to the title, and while the initial garden setup might appeal to kids, they usually get bored or frustrated with the management side of the game.

This is awesome and such, but I'd really really love for a renting thing to go on. They do it so well with the movies (for anyone who hasnt downloaded a movie you can watch it on and offline and it will expire on the same date regardless). It just seems like it would take no real effort other than negotiations with the gaming companies to get this to work. But come on, gamefly has no problems with that.

Wonder if Oblivion is GOTY edition? I have it for PC, but always kinda wished I had gotten it for 360.

Q. why can we pay for a game with a credit card, but cannot buy DLC with a credit card?

Is it because MS Points are a fantastic way for Microsoft to claim a price of, say, 800MSP when the actual minimum purchase is 1000MSP?

No thanks.

I picked up most of this list of games for $10 or less, physical copies no less.

Assassin's Creed (Ubisoft) ($5 at Movie Gallery on sale)
Rainbow Six Vegas (Ubisoft) ($5 at Gamestop)
BioShock ($5 at MG)
* Mass Effect ($10 at Walmart)
Ridge Racer 6 ($10 at Gamestop)
Burnout Paradise ($15 at Gamestop)
* Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis ($5 at Best Buy)
* Viva Piñata 2: Trouble in Paradise ($7 at Best Buy)
* Need for Speed Carbon ($10 at Best Buy)
* Need for Speed: Most Wanted ($5 at Best Buy)
Prey ($3 at Gamestop)
* Viva Piñata ($10 at Circuit City)
* Kameo: Elements of Power ($10 at Walmart)
* Perfect Dark Zero ($10 at Walmart)
* Dance Dance Revolution Universe ($10 at Walmart)

*- notes that this was a new sealed copy

Anyone considering buying digital copies from this batch are quite foolish considering 90% of them can be had elsewhere much cheaper.

Someone who hasn't beaten any of those games, this is definitely a good deal.
