Jump for Guitar Hero: Van Halen's full track list

Activision finally got around to confirming Guitar Hero: Van Halen in May and, while our question regarding which singer will be featured in the game has been answered, the featured tracks and release date have been a mystery ... until now! MTV Multiplayer managed to get the info straight from Activision and, if you're a Van Halen fan, we're fairly certain you won't be disappointed with the selections. Essential tracks like "Jump" and "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love" have made the cut, along with a few of Eddie's scorching solos. In keeping with the Guitar Hero spin-off tradition, there will also be some music from bands other than Van Halen in the game, so head past the break for the full list of finger-bleeding tunes.

Additionally, Guitar Hero: Van Halen has been dated for release on December 22.

I see several VH songs that would be fun to play. No Sammy songs hurts this game. I also count 5 songs I've already played in other games, weak. Perhaps worth a rental, that's all.

I agree about Sammy. I wish a few of those songs could have been included. But WTF is up with that list of extra tracks. They don't make any sense. This would have been much better off as a track pack that could be uploaded into GHWT/5 much like the AC/DC track pack was for Harmonix.

The idea of the "other artist" tracks is to include song from artists that have performed with or have some relation to the title band.

I agree with the OP. No "Dreams" means no go.

Van Halen doesn't have the catalog for their own game..

i wish it had some sammy hagar-era VH songs and some chickenfoot songs. i love chickenfoot way too much.

Half of the extra tracks make absolutely no sense.

Alter Bridge? blink 182? Offspring? fountains of wayne? yellowcard? Yeash, who were the AD WIZARDS who came up with that one?

Mark Tremonti is an awesome guitarist, so I suppose that's why Alter Bridge is in GH:VH?

And to go for Pretty Fly by The Offspring as well.... they actually have a great guitarist, but that song definitely doesn't showcase Noodles' talent.

Fountains of Wayne couldn't have any less to do with Van Halen, so why not add any other artist? I hear the kids like someone named Alaska Nebraska or Hannah Montana or something, maybe they should add her too?

I like a couple of van halen songs namely because my mom used to listen to them but nothing in this game screams out a purchase thats for sure.

Same here. Does Queen have an exclusive with GH or something? Why do they keep cropping up in Guitar Hero games and yet are an utter nonentity in Rock Band?

Most likely.

I hope so I never got into that RB and GH: WT craze.

I like Rock Band, but I'm not obsessed with it. I've played the bass for fifteen years (Yeah, I know. I suck.), and it's cool seeing the bass lines translated into the note charts or whatnot.

Also, I only own a guitar (I play with my mates online) and all of the GH/RB games work fine. I'm totally springing for the Limited Edition Beatles bundle, though. I'm a sucker for The Beatles.

Yeah, I was thinking about FINALLY getting a band kit but I know I'll never touch it. Just like DeadSpace. I still havent played that game and I bought it months ago.

the only reason I'm buying the Special Edition is because it'd cost about the same just to buy a new Rock Band guitar, the game, and some drums. Plus I get a mic and mic stand for free, so its all good
