Sony, EA and Activision reveal Gamescom lineups

For those of you headed to Gamescom and wondering what you'll be waiting in line to play (or standing on tip-toes to watch as a trailer), VG247 has posted the announced lineups for three major publishers: Sony, EA and Activision. Square Enix hs also reiterated its lineup.

Sony will be showing the PSP Go, of course, along with Gran Turismo, LittleBigPlanet, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, and more on PSP, and God of War III, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain, MAG, and lots of other big stuff on PS3. Activision will have a pile of plastic-instrument (and skateboard) games, as well as Modern Warfare 2, Blur, and Bakugan. EA's bringing basically everything ever. I am interested to see what Sony has in store for the PSN games.

Everything else, is old news now.

Let's see:

Bakugan: Oh, come on. Really?

Band Hero: Well, DUH. It's a HERO title.

Blur: Just a gussied up version of other kart racing titles. Shall hold out for ModNation, as it actually adds some variety.

DJ Hero: See Band Hero's description.

Guitar Hero 5: Well DUH, it's not only a Hero title, it's a GUITAR HERO title!

Modern Warfare 2: Boy looka that, it's the 13mil-pound-gorilla's offspring... a given.

Tony Hawk Ride: And we close with none other than the ORIGINAL milked franchise.

So one's a licensed game, 4 are Hero titles (or another milked series), 1 is Modern Warfare 2 and the outlier has been done plenty of times over.

As Tony the Tiger sez, "Grrrrrrrreat!"

I was pointing out that Activision's lineup isn't that impressive compared to EA and Sony's.

All kidding aside, if it seems to you that i'm a fanboy, then fine, to each his own. But does it hurt you so much that you have to call me out about it? I admit that if I had to pick only one of the systems to own, I'd choose the PS3. I like the PS3. (A Note: I have a Wii, and I like it a lot.) And yes, I do like EA as well. They publish good games, and I prefer Rock Band over Guitar Hero. But my point was that I don't like Activision. That has been the theme of my comments ALL FRAKKING DAY. Heck, I even made it so that it looked like Bobby Kotick was plotting to beat me up with the help of Spencer Pratt. Ask anybody. So how am I a fanboy if I'm stating my DISLIKE of Activision? Please tell me. I'd really like to know.

Maybe instead of bashing people, you should bash the company that sues to stop games from releasing and milks franchises even more than Nintendo. (I love nintendo, but they have been milking mario, legend of zelda, and metroid. They need to make something new and original that they can milk for another 20 years)

Definitely looking forward to seeing some more about ME2, Gran Turismo (hopefully the PS3 one, not just the PSP one), and Army of Tutu.

add in modern warfare 2, and i agree.

Yay for Sony! Sweet lineup right there, can't wait to finally get a PSP. Will hopefully be picking up the Go when it comes out, but I think I might wait for a price drop cause $250 is too much.

Also Joystiq, should I sell my DSi(I have the PRP so I can trade it and sell it as new, full price)? Too many good PSP games coming out soon so I have no excuse not to own one. But I don't feel like keeping a DSi if I get a PSP cause other than the Pokemon GSC remake and Scribblenauts, nothing worth keeping a DSi for. And Ive gotten bored of all the games I currently have for it. I'm tight on cash too so getting a PSP's gonna be kind of tough without the money from selling the DSi. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm still tempted to get a PSP GO, but I should still think about this...

WAIT! Need For Speed Nitro. Can we back things up a bit. I thought Shift was their NfS game?

Nitro is the Wii version I believe.

Or possibly the lesser powered system version. Maybe its on handhelds too. I don't remember.

I predict an EPIC Sony announcement. I'm hoping for LBP 2 announcement.
