News to you, but try having a LAN party when you're older than 18, and think they're cool.

Dude, 10 years ago LAN play was outdated and uncommon. My neighbor plays WoW with me, and even if we could lug our computers together to sit by each other, we wouldn't. It's called the internet. It's faster, easier, better. LAN is only shorthand for LonelyAssNerd these days. It's unimportant and useless. If you really HAVE to have that experience, then get your computers together AND PLUG THEM INTO A ROUTER TO PLAY ONLINE TOGETHER. Goddamn.

Christ, how about bitching that the game is shipping on DVD and not CD? "Whaaa, whaaa, it IS that important to have outdated options for our nostalgia!"

@SuckItTrebek

You Can't possibly be comparing something as trivial as a newer Phisical Media with something like playing someone RIGHT NEXT TO YOU,Dude,It's cool if you like playing over the Internet and never having to meet the guys you pwn,but some of us actually enjoy a gaming a enviroment with a few sodas and a couple of friends,if you don't like it OK,but for God's sake don't burn the bridge for us.

I'd ask if you're retarded, but clearly you are.

You CAN still have that experience. Get your other LonelyAssNerd Party friends together, sit all your machiens together, and plug it into a router. Ohnoes, you're playing together side by side online rather than on your own network, boo hoo, the camaraderie is broken! Except it isn't.

Hey, why not plug in support for dialup players. Sure, it's outdated, but SOME people might want the nostalgia!

You represent less than %1 of the game's market and you'll buy it anyway. Why should anyone care what your opinion is? They could include a picture of themselves anally raping your grandmother while pouring sugar in your gas tank, signed "PS fuck your bad taste in games, go play Warhammer 40,000" and you'd still buy the premium edition.

Ha I was just telling my friend yesterday when we were at gamestop that there's no way Starcraft II is hitting this year.

I don't care about Starcraft at all, but this upsets me because I remember blizzard saying no Diablo 3 until SC 2 is out >:(

I felt a great disturbance in the force - It's as if millions of South Koreans suddenly cried out in terror, then were suddenly silenced.

WoW, talk about a kick in the balls.

At least I can now take a year off from even looking at D3 news, any more time spent here or any other D3 site is just a complete waste of time and emotion.

I got to be real honest here. Im really getting tire of Blizzards tactics of enducing hype to the media 3-5 years early, and making it look like said game is only a couple years away at max, of course, never actually saying anything other than a big "fuck you, it will be ready when its ready, bitches." type attitude.

When is the media going to jump on Blizzard for these tactics? Were else in business is there a company that releases this kind of hype leading people to believe the product is just around the corner, and then pushes back their completion schedule EVERY SINGLE TIME. It would be one thing if this happened 1 in 5 games, but when release date push backs happen every single time, when is it time to label Blizzard the same type of hype pushers as say, Peter Molyneux or The Segway.

Its terribly frustrating that as a customer to all their other games, and the billions of dollars that they have from said games, that they cant allocate enough money to meet deadlines and schedules in a timely & professional business manor. Why are they not putting some of that money back into the intrastructure in order to get these titles out without these push-backs?

Only in the video gaming industry would a company get away with this type of scheduling, and actually lead their competitors. Imagine if you had these push-backs every single time and you were a large scale building contractor.... simple put, you wouldn't be in business long.

I think Im getting to old to put up with Blizzards release date bullshit.

I agree with you in that it's tiring, but the videogame industry is a part of the entertainment industry, and this entire industry as a whole relies heavily on creativity. Creativity in itself is impossible to force out of someone, even with deadlines, so when you have a company that historically has been home to some of the most creative developers out there (Nintendo, Blizzard, etc.) then you're going to see plenty of delays with their software. Movie studios have become better about this over the years thanks to tight budgets and more of a professional mindset (as well as insane scare tactics), but then what happens is that instead of being creative, people end up having to resort to methods they already know and have used in the past in order to meet deadlines, and then we end up with things such as re-hashed sequels and other unfortunate happenings.

Some of the most creative people in the world become mindless zombies when forced to meet a deadline. We don't want that in our Starcraft II, do we? ;)

Tell that to the guys at EPIC, who live for the "crunch" and do some of their best work during it. Blizzard is bordering on 3DRealms level of slacking. While I admit the original StarCraft was noteworthy for its balancing of 3 different races, I don't think they are truly the super-creative company you're making them out to be? How are any of their upcoming games wildly innovative (SC2? D3?)? Correct me if I'm wrong, but these are going to basically be more of the same, and that means there's little excuse for these ridiculously long delays.

Yeah yeah, nobody is suprised. What I won't put up with is this game being released any later than Q2 2010. What pisses me off is that they just announced that they didn't expect any changes to the release date. Less than a week after that fucking announcement they unveil this one. That's bullshit. Quit fucking around with your cash cow WoW and release another game. A couple months ago there was an article on here saying WoW delayed Starcraft 2 a year when they were dicking around with expansion #2. I was really hoping Starcraft 2 would be an exception to the Blizzard law of delaying shit.

GAH!! Actually, it was originally aiming for a fall 2008 release so as to make the 10-year anniversary of the original Starcraft. I even bought a new Macbook Pro so I could play it... (well, I also had other, real, needs)

Grrr... I want me some SC2.
