Bad news for those hoping to answer the Bat-Signal's call by way of a computer -- the PC version of Batman: Arkham Asylum will not be arriving at the "same Bat-time" (or "same Bat-channel," if you think about it) as its console iterations. Eidos and Nvidia today dated the PC release for September 15 in North American and September 18 in Europe and Australia. That's a bit of a bump from the console versions' August 25 launch.
Speaking of Nvidia, today's news also revealed that the game will support the manufacturer's "PhysX" technology, provided you've got a beefy enough GeForce card. We suppose the game's newfound prettiness makes up for its marginal tardiness. Hey, at least it wasn't pushed to the ever-popular Q1 2010, right guys?

As long as they don't bump back the 360 version I'll be happy.

Agreed. This is one of only 3 games I am super hyped about this year (the others being MW 2 and Bioshock 2)

I'm pretty sure the PC version will see some mods coming out that allow you to play as the Joker as well.

I just finished rereading Red Son and now any other Batman seems lame to me.

The Flash is pretty cool, so is The Question. There are tons of great characters, unfortunately they are greatly outnumbered by shitty writers. *Cough Grant Morrison & Jones Cough*

wow that's a shame. The Batman comics have been terrible for years. Well, Detective Comics is excellent but the Batman titled ones suck.

I don't mind the extra wait...at least we're sure theres a PC version coming. I just don't like when studios don't tell you so you buy their game for an alternate platform not knowing if you'll wait for it forever on pc...

I don't mind the piracy-reducing wait so long as they say from the start that there'll be a PC version.
I spent £40 on a PS3 copy of GTA4 when I would much rather have played it on PC - i simply didn't know there was going to be a port, and the same was true for another 3-4 months-ish after the release.

this aren´t good news, this kind of stuff is what hurts sales of the pc version, i´m sure many guys that could get it for the pc or for the 360 or ps3 are not going to wait for the pc version even though we all know it´s going to be the best looking. I just hope companies stop doing this kind of stuff as it only hurts sales.

I think people who have a PC capable of playing it at high graphics would wait. Firstly to justify the PC's existence, why have a good PC if you're not gonna play games on it, right? Secondly, the PC version is £10/$10 cheaper. I'm one of a large number of people who are happy to wait in order to make that saving.

you can count me in on that, i waited for street fighter because i knew it was going to be better and it was. However i don´t think that many other guys will jump to the 360 version because many just want to play the game. The p.c. version is always going to be the best that´s true, but with a title as anticipated as this one i don´t think is smart to release the pc version later, i just hope that all the pc users with an xbox are really willing to wait for the pc one.

I still want a very cinematic "The Dark Knight" game, but this still looks awesome. Can't wait. Isn't the demo released tomorrow?

man. at least it's not 2010 like every other game and it's only a couple weeks but seriously WTF is going on. This game already got delayed twice already and it's not done for PC yet?
and every other damn game getting delayed. this is getting really annoying.
