Newegg.com sale has 'recertified' Elite for $260

Reliable online retailer Newegg.com is having a 48-hour sale wherein "recertified" Xbox 360 Elites are available for $260. That's $140 dollars off the regular price! For those of you hesitant about that word being attached to the special, Newegg defines "recertified" as "products which have been retested to ensure compliance with original manufacturer specifications in function and for purposes related to warranty." Think of it as the game console equivalent of a "previously owned" car.

We should note that with mumblings of the Pro becoming extinct, the normally $400 Elite may take a price tumble soon. Just something to think about.
