There is no in-between and it disgusts me that people try to justify their bigotry.

Look Duke. I am all for a balance political system of at the MINIMUM 2 major parties. I want meaningful dialog with REAL ideas coming from republicans. but unfortunantly most of what i have seen is the EXTREME right taking over the party and the moderates staying quiet for fear of upsetting the base.

what the republican party is right now is an extreme party with

hate
bigotry
intolerance
ignorance

as their core values.

we NEED more repubs like Colin Powell and less like Rush.

As opposed to the moderate democrats who are now running the country, right? The Republicans may have lost their way a bit, but the Democrats in power are the most liberal extremists this country has ever seen in power.

Jebus comes out of the woodwork to give his usual nasty message towards the entire Republican party. Anyone who has been here for a while has read your long winded rants against the entire republican base and you have on many occasions called all republicans a multitude of hateful things. So don't come off preaching that you want "meaningful dialog" when the truth is far from that.

There is no difference between the nut jobs, the hard right, conservatives, moderate or fiscal republicans, etc to you - there is just black and white from your posts: You hate all of us that don't agree with whatever you say. Welcome to Jebus' idea of a grand America where there is just one line of thought and all others are slandered to submission. I think your commentary has been shameful.

Supporting any one political party is a childish idea anyway. You should support principles, not parties. The odds of you agreeing with one political parties views 100% are pretty freaking slim, and if you do, you might want to consider checking yourself over for signs of sheeple syndrome. For example, my views are:

Pro-choice
Pro-guns
Pro-military
Against big government.
Fairly convervative.

As you can see, I wouldnt fit in with either democrats or republicians. Generally speaking I lean towards republicians, yes, but being so single minded as to say that "all republicans are bad" or "all democrats are stupid" is simply immature.

Actually I read Killjebus's comment as disliking the extreme right republicans not the entire party, and that these guys happen to be the loudest.

What I find aggravating is that republicans are at their core for less government which I can agree with (to a point of course), but generally jump on any chance to push for more government in our personal lives. Less government is less government if they would stop trying to push social reforms on us they would have my vote.

What you gloss over is that he said the republican party is one of extremists and that his previous posts have even earned deletion due to their inflammatory hate towards anyone not of his identical political leanings. I stick to my comment above - especially considering what he has said before.

Duke I don't hate. Hate is in my opinion the only bad word.

I do not like how the radical right is gaining control of the Republican party. We need ideas from the repubs to couter the dems....and not the party of no no no...and obstruct delay and so on.

I don't understand why you think I am grouping all repubs into one bowl. I REALLY like Colin Powell and I wish we could have someone like him leading the party instead of asshats like Rush.

Like it or not Duke the repubs tend to attract the biggots and ignorant FAR more than the dems do.

far to many repubs REJECT science logic and reason and that is what i do NOT like about the current state of the repubs.

tell me...who on the far left spews hate anywhere near the level of

Rush
Anne
Hannity
Billo

you can't because they DON'T.

Duke if I were you i would be PISSED off that ignorance rules the repubs at the moment.

It used to be the Dixiecrats that controlled the dems...now the dixiecrats have migrated over to the repubs.

i am sick and fed up with
ignorance
fear
biggotry
intolerance

in this day and age.

Fed up I am.

Those sweeping comments about an entire political party just keep on coming. So, if you think the're so bad because all of them do it (in your opinion), why are you any better when you do it?

Yes, I know what I said and I also know that I haven't said any sweeping antagonistic comments about Democrats.

That last comment was to Heimbachae.

Jeebus, you said, "Duke if I were you i would be PISSED off that ignorance rules the repubs at the moment."

I am pissed at the ignorance of some republicans at the moment, but I do not agree the party is ruled by them. Hell, the republican party really isn't ruled by anyone right now. I am just sick of all republicans no matter what being called a bunch of names because of what their fringe elements do or say.

Do you think all democrats should be considered the same as the men who stood outside polling places with a nightstick during the election? Do you think all democrats should be compared to Carville, Pres. Johnson, or Garofalo? There is a wide spectrum of ideologies and reasoning within the parties and the constant berating of everyone due to the two party system gets pretty damn old.

There are plenty of Left wing zealots out there, on the radio, on TV, in print, etc. They just do not have ratings so they do not get mentioned.

If CNN, or another network, does a story about Rush they know their ratings will jump up, if they did a story on someone from Air America people either go into a coma or change the channel.

You don't see Olbermann the same way you see a Bill Orielly, but I assure you that is because you AGREE with Olbermann, that is the ONLY difference between those two jackasses.

So don't tell me 'republicans' are the only ones that slander the opposition.

Take the recent blow up about that awesome Obama poster where he looks like the joker, suddenly it's offensive when it is done to Obama, by a random anonymous person, yet when a national magazine did the exact same thing to bush, no one said boo about it.

CNN is rapidly approaching Faux News.

as for Keith?

Yes he rants, but he BACKS UP those rants with FACTS.

when Hannity and company rant....they just make shit up or KNOWINGLY use false information.

its going on right now with healthcare reform.

we are the ONLY western culture without some form of FREE healthcare. that to me does not make sense...yet the blue dog dems and repubs are fighting for FOR PROFIT companies to continue to raise rates and decide who gets what coverage.

the United States is rated 36th in QUALITY of healthcare. THIRTY SIXTH...yet so many uninformed Americans think that we have the BEST healthcare.

its sad and laughable at the same time.

and dont even get me started on the Birthers

The birthers are idiots and our healthcare is in awful shape - agreed. Yet, how can you sit with a straight face sit and say Olbermann isn't as guilty and full of crap as the people you say represent the republicans? Don't tell me he backs everything up with facts - you know better than that. Jeebus, the only reason you say that is because his bs supports your beliefs. That doesn't make it acceptable.

The problem is that people like Beck, Rush, O'Riley, say incinderary things, I suspect sometimes for ratings, that make it into the mainstream discussion for Republicans (and in general), making those people de facto "voice" of the party.

Say what you want about Olbermann, but he doesn't have nearly the ratings or sway within the party. I can tell you the latest crazy thing Rush said, I have no idea what topic Olberman had on his show the other day. And I don't watch or listen to either.

It's not really the Republicans fault, they just have no leadership right now to direct this. And Stelle believe me, isn't it.

Olberman and O'reily are both ideologues. Only Olberman is not nearly as hot headed, and that's why he doesn't have high ratings. These guys have found out what attracts their demographics. Many conservatives I know enjoy the lib bashing that goes on in shows like Hannity and O'Reily. The liberals prefer to hear the ideologues lampooned, and that is why shows like Colbert Report and John Stewart are popular there.

The main problem here is that the entertainment industry (and all these shows fall into that category) is the highest influencer of public opinion regarding politics. Aside from the fact that the 2 part system is just plain broken.

$1.10 is much less than a King Size Snickers Bar.
