PSN Thursday: Quinceañera for Qore

Sure, a quinceañera is supposed to be after 15 years -- but this is the internet, Qore making 15 episodes is almost the same accomplishment. Far more exciting, though, is the demo for The Batman's adventure in Arkham Asylum. Yes, it is the game that'll make you forget every Batman game that may have scarred your childhood. There's also an expansion pack for the bug-infested tower-defense game of Savage Moon. That and much, much more after the break.

he just wants to know what your thoughts on it are since you have had time to play it....I guess...lol

Personally I liked it. In a nutshell the game is very stylish and the silent assassinations are fun. I didn't like the fighting in the start of the demo, so I hope the game is more focused on staying in the shadows and attacking foes one by one.

Chris, that's totally not true. Live does only allow Gold members to download demo's for the first week, but never DLC or XBLA games. Even then, not all demo's are like that, I belive multiplatform/non-exclusive demos are usually for everyone right away.

Snowblind you replied in the wrong place....lol...but If I recall correctly I couldnt download Gears 2 DLC when it first released, or GTA4 DLC when it first released....and you say non exclusive demos arent restricted?? I tried to download the Batman Demo but cant.....thats not an exclusive...

Just the batman demo for me, since MS thinks demos are so important that you have to have gold to get them when they arrive.

Also, how many damn spec ops games are there? Seems like every week there's a "new" one released.

There was no PS1 game released this week, especially not a Spec Ops game.

Qore had exclusive demos like once or twice....demos that subsequently have been on there a few weeks earlier like pre-ordering games from GameStop.....mind you its NEVER a Weekly ALL the time thing either....Live is....now you wanna try that again?? Live Holds not only DEMOS back a week but also DLC, FULL GAMES, etc....

They also like to get their grubby hands on a lot of betas as well but again, I'm not american so I don't even have a chance of getting into one. At least with PC/360 I do.

Motorstorm was a Beta of a demo I think....and not a good one at that....

dude BEFORE Qore you had to be HEAVILY on PSU Forums to get into the Beta....and once you got into ONE beta your chances improved on getting into more...Qore hasnt really shown that its GOOD for getting into BETAs since it first started because people werent getting BETA access until the last week of some of the BETAs

And for the sake of accuracy: DLC and full games are not held back from silver members as far as I've seen (I did a quick check and it's showing all the latest stuff) so i don't know where you got that from aaaaand I just noticed Shivering isles costs the same as oblivion on the marketplace, ffs lol.

I have the money. I can't buy it because I'm not a resident of the US. The only way we used to be able to buy stuff off of the US store was with disposable credit cards that Sony put a stop to. Unless you know of another way then I'm all ears.

Yeah I agree, I'm just spreading the blame around. Being biased is unhealthy for your brain. Qore does it less therefore it's incomparable? No.

It's not that they are incomparable, it's more like it's worthless comparing the two as Xbox Live is much worse than Qore. So you can stop already, it's stupid to compare the two.

And PSN cards. Have you ever heard of 'em?

CoD:WaW map pack 3 for me. i've already promised 3 groups of friends that i'll play der riese with them.

and since i had $20 in my PSN wallet instead of the $10 i thought i had, i bought shatter and a rock band 2 song (wonderwall if you're wondering).

P.S. putting bodies by drowning pool on loop while playing nazi zombies makes the experience even better. it's like that song was designed for nazi zombies...

holy hell, me and solace played der riese, and it's HUGE and hard as hell. the pack a punch machine is worth it though. it made my average MG42 into the "barracuda" which shoots FREAKING LASER BEAMS! we died while reloading though :/

I'll be getting Crystal Defender for the PSN as it's one of my favorite iPhone games and I've been anticipating it's console release for a while now. I'll download the Batman AA demo but if it's anything like the Gamestop kiosk demo then I'll probably be disappointed with it again. The combat felt so clunky in that kiosk demo that I stopped playing it before I had even finished.

The batman demo cuts a good chunk out of that long interactive cut scene. You see batman driving to the asylum, cut to the Joker escaping and you start fighting thugs.

The demo is a lot of fun, but very short. I would have liked just one more room to play in.

The Rag Doll Kung Fu game was only free for a week as a sponsorship from Sprint.

I think that Rag Doll was free for a week and then went back to its original price.
