I left a very polite email in ghostfiregames inbox and recieved an equally polite response. I explained to "Ed" that Motion controls should be an option at least and him replied by saying that they didn't use motion controls because of their lack in responsiveness. I will buy this game to support their future endeavors but if motion controls had been added it would've something probably more memorable.

I'm going to be looking forward to this release regardless of whether they decide to add motion controls or not, but after playing the Swordplay game in Wii Sports Resort, I can't help but ask "What if" Ghostfire added MotionPlus support to this title? I know that it's not financially feasible and would probably set the release back a few months, but I've been itching for some more serious melee combat since I smacked my first opponent off the platform in WSR and Rage of Gladiator could, in an alternate universe, have scratched that itch.

Maybe a sequel could feature MotionPlus support? :)

The game looks great regardless of the control scheme and it's cool to see company reps interacting directly with the fanbase.

I would have bought it if it had motion controls. The controls they described here sound Horrible.
