Awesome game. Worth picking up if you haven't already.
In before Prototype vs. inFamous rage-posts....
Rob @ Aug 6th 2009 4:22PM
Senseless violence and death? I'M THERE!
Ghen @ Aug 6th 2009 4:25PM
Throwing air conditioners at everything never gets old.
Not much in prototype ever gets old.
FYI: you can jump out of a helicopter, glide for a bit, and then dive bomb head first into military bases. How can that ever get old?
The Dark Wayne @ Aug 6th 2009 4:45PM
i once jumped out of a helicopter, glided over another one and dived through that one. Fuck yes
whylekat @ Aug 6th 2009 4:52PM
I was just about to post on how boring & repetitive this game is but I guess 5 hrs isn't enough. I'll def pick it up again after reading coolness like that!
AoE @ Aug 6th 2009 8:22PM
How about how mind-numbingly easy it is? That got old PDQ for me.
Ghen @ Aug 7th 2009 8:21AM
How easy a game is doesn't bother me as long as its fun.
Freak Mojo @ Aug 6th 2009 4:25PM
Drop the price on the console version and there won't be any rage posts! I'd buy it :)
Longhorn (August 18: D-Day) @ Aug 6th 2009 4:25PM
inFAMOUS FTW!!
Storm Eagle [Resident Capcom Megafan] @ Aug 6th 2009 4:29PM
God...Shutup.
tmacairjordan87 @ Aug 6th 2009 4:59PM
Infamous was boring as hell compared to Prototype. I'm actually glad Infamous came out first, cause if it didn't I wouldn't have been able to play it.
roger @ Aug 6th 2009 5:12PM
inFamous is awesome, I tried Prototype but honestly I'll only bit once it hits $30. Everything seems at least a notch up in every department in inFamous with the slightly cooler powers bestowed to Alex.
The Dark Wayne @ Aug 6th 2009 5:15PM
i played both and enjoyed them both. It's really not that hard.
Or Is It Alton Brown? (Wiizer Sweatshop Co-Founder, Chief Executive Peon) @ Aug 6th 2009 5:16PM
Best superhero game ever = X-Men arcade or maybe MvC2 if you want to count that.

"Best superhero game ever = X-Men arcade"
Oh come on. Really? I mean I liked that game too, but now you're just letting nostalgia cloud your opinions.
Or Is It Alton Brown? (Wiizer Sweatshop Co-Founder, Chief Executive Peon) @ Aug 6th 2009 6:01PM
It was somewhat in jest. I really think the best superhero game is either Hulk: Ultimate Destruction or MvC2 as stated before.
MrKlorox @ Aug 6th 2009 6:15PM
Prototype STOMPS the ever loving shit out of The Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. I mean this game is the evolution of that game's gameplay, except not limited by having to adhere to a pre existing universe and canon.
Or Is It Alton Brown? (Wiizer Sweatshop Co-Founder, Chief Executive Peon) @ Aug 6th 2009 7:07PM
I haven't played it, so I can't comment, but part of the reason I liked Hulk was because of its adherence to canon.
The Dark Wayne @ Aug 6th 2009 7:20PM
i think i liked Hulk better than Prototype. But really, i think that's just because of the powerset, i prefered making gloves out of cars and golf clubs out of oil wells than shooting spikes and stuff. Also impaling robots and then punching them is some of the most fun ive ever had. Speaking of powersets, does anyone think Prototype and infamous would have been incredible if they had been mixed together? It would have been incredible having prototypes much more open world and wildness with infamous' story and lightning powers
arkweld @ Aug 6th 2009 7:25PM
I liked both for different reasons.
You can't slice people in half in inFamous, and Prototype doesn't have a great twist ending.
Or Is It Alton Brown? (Wiizer Sweatshop Co-Founder, Chief Executive Peon) @ Aug 6th 2009 8:50PM
Fucking skateboarding on a smashed bus was the best.
Juande @ Aug 6th 2009 4:41PM
Nice deal for an awesome game! Get it now!
MowDownJoe @ Aug 6th 2009 5:10PM
Isn't Prototype made by Activision? And I don't think I want to buy from a company who's VP openly says things like this:
http://www.destructoid.com/kotick-i-would-raise-game-prices-higher-if-i-could-143049.phtml
The Dark Wayne @ Aug 6th 2009 5:17PM
God i fucking hate that guy
MrKlorox @ Aug 6th 2009 6:13PM
Yes, but just think: that attitude will make them realize they can sell us the same game twice, if they make the multiplayer (only) components of major games available for download through XBLA or PSN. People would probably pay 80% of the full price to be able to play MW2 MP without needing to find the disc and put it in the drive.
MrKlorox @ Aug 6th 2009 6:11PM
Nice. I've been looking to pick this up ever since I played it. Was gonna wait for a drop in the 360 price since the PC version doesn't have achievements... but this deal has too good of timing plus the game looks excellent in 1080p.
Now if they could only get the PS3 versions shadows onto the PC version. Lazy devs.
Dansk @ Aug 6th 2009 6:33PM
So is Direct2Drive, but I don't see a post about it.
AoE @ Aug 6th 2009 8:28PM
Yeah, it would be nice if they mentioned other options when the sale is across multiple digital distributors... and sales at other digital distributors in general.
arkweld @ Aug 6th 2009 7:22PM
20% discount? Was it ever supposed to be over $40 for PC?
It's already $40 at Amazon and even better, it's only $35 at GoGamer.
AoE @ Aug 6th 2009 8:31PM
If it makes you feel better, you can still pay $50 for the download version at gamestop.com :)
This gogamer site is new to me, thank you for the heads up, looks like they have pretty good prices overall.
arkweld @ Aug 6th 2009 9:46PM
Wasn't Prototype also $30 on Amazon one week?
GoGamer has been around for years. Their 48 Hour Madness sales slash prices on PC games to almost nothing and they throw in some nice freebies and have good imports too.
