As we breathlessly await to see which of our hopes and dreams will be crushed by the next game being pushed from this fall into Q1 of 2010, we've decided to pass the time with an office pool of sorts, each of us picking one game that we think will be the next to get bumped.
Now, you may not want to read too much into these, as we've used methods ranging from sophisticated industry telemetry to completely pulling it out of our asses to make our picks. If there's one you think we missed, let us know in the comments, and if we get enough good ones we might collect those in a separate post.
Also, true story: During the creation of this feature yesterday, at least two guys had to make new pics after StarCraft II got bumped. Fact.
Ready? Let's get started.

Yea. That's the only one I care about, though Dante's Inferno does look pretty cool.
I think they forgot Fallout 3 GOTY. The 360 and PC versions will probably be out by October as planned but the PS3 version will probably be out next year. The first DLC pack hasn't even hit PSN.

I saw the headline, didn't finish reading past 'The Next to Fall' and the first thing I thought was...
'OMG! A new One Must Fall Game?'
and then I kept reading...and I was disappointed. :(
Back on track though...I'm inclined to agree with most of those predictions.

But what I think might get delayed is Assassin's Creed 2 since it's so close to MW2...

If AC2 is delayed, I will hold you personally responsible.

I don't see why AC2 would be delayed because of MW2 they are completely different types of games by your logic every game should be pushed back just because MW2 is being released and gamers (in the UK most of all) will not be able to shell out cash for 2 games. everyone needs to chill with the MW2 crap will it be good yes the first was so big surprise there.
personally though I'm buying AC2, Uncharted 2 and L4D 2 before I even think about MW2.

No not every game... just the one's close to MW2's release date.

Again why? where's the reasoning? is every gamer going to go buy MW2 at launch... no. are all gamers that buy MW2 going to be unable to buy another game for some set period... no? in fact due to preordering I haven't had 2 games conflict and make me buy only one cause of cost for a long time. I already put all of the money down on AC2 and Uncharted 2 so if the MW2 launch roles around and I am not to busy I may just pick it up but as of now I'll be passing on MW2 simply due to time. Everyone I know that is getting MW2 at launch has already preordered it and they are taking the opposite approach that I have taken and said that they would pick up another game or 2 this season cause they consider the MW2 purchase part of thier summer game purchases now that nothing new is out.

I understand what you are trying to say about not everyone getting MW2 at launch but I believe the truth of the matter is most people ARE going to pick it up over other titles in the same month so publishers might delay other games in the same holiday season as most already have. I know that Assassin's Creed has a built fan base around it's name and that plenty of people are going to get AC2 if it comes out this year (which it most likely will). But I think that people will be playing MW2 longer because it's implementing multiplayer. Most consumers, not all but most, are going to look at MW2 and say something like "hey this game looks brilliant I'm going to be playing with it for years down the line!" that same consumer might look at a AC2 and say that game looks wonderful! and the writers did a great job with the first one! I think I will play it sometime!" so they might borrow it from their friends. Now I know that some people are being constrained by time and that they choose what they would like to spend their time on the most ie AC2 or another grand adventure experience. Other consumers might be constrained by their budget. Whatever it may be, what I state here is mostly opinion. There are people such as yourself who have already paid preorders in full and look forward to these great experiences and I don't blame you... but then again their are other people who just rent the games and still enjoy the experience.
But on topic about the fall delayed games I do think that AC2 might delayed because it might not do well as some would hope this holiday... But then again early 2010 is the new fall 2009 right?

Nooo, not Borderlands! But my money is on either Vegas or The Saboteur, or even both. Actually my money is on both being pushed back to 2010.

GT PSP wont be pushed back....its a launch title of the PSPGo...that would be a bad start for the Go....
I could see Tekken 6 on PSP getting pushed back tho, as well as Army of Two: The 40th day....that should come out in March/April anyways

You know what else would be a bad start for the Go? A $250 price point.
I think Gay Tony is a pretty good guess. Rockstar has never, never put anything together in six months, and they never feel pressured to hit their release dates when their titles aren't ready.

$250 price point wont hurt it much...why?? people are saps, they see something shiny and new and want it....thats why the Walkman OLED PMPs sell as well as they do despite the iPod being more popular....
I estimate the PSP Go will EASILY break a Million in Global sales the first weekend....hell maybe the first day. Sales will dry up around February and Sony will drop the price of the 3000 to $130 with a 16GB Go for $199 and a 32GB Go for $250 launching in the Summer(maybe right after E3)

@James Ransom Wiley on Gran Turismo PSP
"What's another year in the development of the PSP's flagship title? Sony can sell more time by offering a downloadable "prologue" alongside the launch of PSP Go.
Are you fucking kidding me? You honestly think that? The game has been in development since the PSP was launched and you're predicting that the game will be delayed AGAIN? The game has over 800 fucking cars! What the fuck do you want more? A release date was announced at E3 if you didn't know that.

Very different types of horror games, though. The one is very guided, straightforward, with a sci-fi theme and action-y gameplay. The other is a psychological thriller with a more mystical theme
I doubt either company considers the games are big enough to collide with each other, anyway.

I think Gay Tony will stay where it is, as a downloadable title at a cheaper price i think it has a unique position, however i wonder if Tales from Liberty City will be delayed

Even though Valve has a great propensity to delay things, i think they're right up there with Nintendo when it comes to releasing their games exactly when they damn well please, and not taking any competitors into account
If Valve delays, it won't be for the sake of finding less crowded space

I heard that Activision was worried Modern Warfare 2 was competing too much with itself and they're going to bump it back to 2010 as well.

I was mocking the reasons why they're pushing back the games. At the current trend there'll be nothing to compete with.

i get the feeling a whole lot of the delays with Half Life stuff isn't the technical stuff but the writing and story editing and all that jazz, which obviously, Left 4 Dead doesnt have any of besides "No Zombie is safe from Chicago Ted"
