You want to watch the paternal instincts of a bunch of guys instantly kick in like their desire for s'mores over an open fire? Then show them this adorable knit baby-sized Link costume. Oh my gawd, who doesn't want a little baby now?! Not only that, but the quiver holds the baby bottle. It's all toooooo cute. We want an office baby now. Craftster.org user UpKnitCreek created this as a baby shower gift ... and we're totally jealous of the recipient.
We're currently trying to get in contact with UpKnitCreek to see if we can get the pattern. Not that we'd know what to do with it, but we're sure somebody else does -- and then we want one! We haven't been this impressed with a knitting project since the Guitar Hero scarf.

[The first part of what I wrote here was fine, but the second half was ironically derogatory. This is my warning. If I do it again I'll be banned.]

I was looking for the pattern myself and couldn't find it. I also couldn't find any contact info. If Joystiq can get the pattern, my wife has promised to make it for our first born (we hope to have one within the next year). I would totally send in pictures of the baby in the costume!

I need to make sure my girlfriend never sees this.
Then again, she'd probably just roll her eyes at it anyway, if she knew I thought that it was cool.

Screw babies, they'll only fit in that thing for a few months. What you really want is a link costume for one of those tiny little rat dogs :)

Did you miss trolling the lilac PSP thread and wanted to give it a go here? Farking with everyone's memories of Zelda, dude, that's messing with the sacred right there.
Heh, in all semi-seriousness, I think I would have cherished the fact that Zelda was a "girls'" game if girls actually wanted to play it back then.

Wow, my comment is faded out? I wasn't trolling, I was joking. It's funny to say that only girls like FF and Zelda (you always read about Moms who play the new Zeldas and girls who do fanart of FF) and I know there are many other reasons why Zelda 2 isn't regarded as classic as the original. Joystiq has proved once again that the internet can't take a joke.

It was a pretty bad joke, admittedly. It was pretty difficult to tell you were joking at all.
Take a few tips from me: Why did the girl fall off of the swing? Because she had no arms or a baby Link costume.

Hah, well they are typically the same thing. Only in the former instance the joke is something only the poster finds funny. I mean, I think playing with my Wii until something jumps from my hand into the TV is funny, but others might think it TMI. I mean it's hard not to get excited when you're trying to hit a target. My wife and I, Wii Play sometimes together, or I may just watch. Can we do Link Co-op?
Still, emoticons are the friends of those that can't make a joke obvious eh? ;-.)

I hate babies!
Not even this can make me enjoy their sick, plotting minds and incessant giggles.

DO WANT...
It'll finally fulfill my desire to dress up as Link and run around saving the world...
Or at least I can create the future Hero now. :P
