If I can get a torrent of the 'dreamscapes' ripped in HD I won't need to play the game. I hope that this transpires.

All of the buttons I've pressed in any video game ever... it's like I'm playing an MMO?

The next time someone complains about the boringness of this game, one which they have not played yet, they'll receive their Falcon Punch through the mail. But seriously, as some have said... this is all about novelty! They were some of the greatest songwriters in rock, and not to mention some of the best vocalists. It's going to be an amazing game BECAUSE we won't see people going "lol i can beat x song on expert, 5 stars i'm 1337 you noob" ...

I've got to say, this looks bloody good. Now if Harmonix can get a Stones game out they will totally rule.

Was kind of hoping the setting for this one would be in the snow like it is in Help!, but still looks awesome.

I think they should make Michael Jackson: Rock Band too, with songs from both his solo career and from Jackson 5. Or atleast Sony will release Singstar Michael Jackson.
Until then, im happy with The Beatles: Rock Band. Smileyface

Michael Jackson and instruments? Most of his songs had the main melody played with synths, and it could be fun for a guitarist only for Beat It, which is already in GHWT. In this case, Singstar fits better the purpose to play MJ's purpose.

I have RB1 and I only ever play it maybe once or twice a month when my mates and their girlfriends get pissed and I then break my back getting the drumkit out from under the bed then spend half an hour trying to assemble it and another 20 minutes wondering why its not working before realising i have to re-assign the controllers !
What I am getting at is that this is a party game and 70 percent of my mates dont even play consoles so if its a bit simple Im all for it . I actually live on Penny Lane in Liverpool so as you'd imagine we all love the Beatles and the moment this hits the shelves I will be getting a few crates in and possibly a couple more mics and we will be coo coo a choo ing all night !

Amazing people bitch all the time about consoles price cut, and how expensive consoles are.
But nobody complain that a simple game, with "real" plastic instruments costs $249.99.
Save the money and buy a real guitar.
Or go to Vegas and spend the money watching "The Beatles Love By Cirque Du Soleil"
:)

Am I the only one that thinks this game is going to tank. Think about it. The age of kids that buys these types of games wasn't even alive when John Lennon was shot. Are there that many hardcore Beatles fans that will buy this?

maybe the notes are gone because the person playing was playing on easy and didnt want anyone to make fun of him/her.
my evidence is the 5stars in the corner with 15k points

I think the character models look pretty archaic, even by Rock Band standards (The models in GH are always better). But the animation and overall "feel" are really noteworthy.

I was expecting better looking models than what it has, more realistic... but I suppose that is not the RB way.
I just wanted to chime in and say... did anyone else notice they don't seem to have straps on their guitars in this video? Is that common in these games that they overlook such things?

Every one of these games, RB and GH both and including Beatles:RB and GH 5, don't do straps. It's tough to render them without the straps clipping through their bodies.
Even in this video, you can see the guitar body clip into the torso a couple times.

yeah, in a lot of games, you push buttons and THINK... there is no thinking involved in many games....ie: chess is very much a thinking game, rock band is a game about understanding rhythm and developing dexterity (it has a little bit of thinking, but is mostly button pressing), and the only thing that matters in playing an MMO is how long you spending playing (meaning they are the biggest time wasters... but not by much)

Now, don't get me wrong, the graphics for this game are great, but I can't be the only person to think the animation sort of sucks. The arm movements for all the Beatles, ads well as everyone in the crowd, just look really robotic. Reminds me of the horrible Guitar Hero animation.
