The reason why Kojima Pro can't say anything about Trophies? They're going to be included in the inevitable MGS4 re-release. That's my theory, anyways.

It's likely they will announce them with the re-release of MGS 4, but also a trophy patch should be coming to Guns of the Patriots as well.

And that would be the reason I have yet to play or own MGS4. Not the trophies mind you, but the utter fact that every FREAKIN TIME, theres a substance/directors cut strangely soon to follow. So, if that happens and trophies are accompanied, then count me a happy camper.

i agree, i love all things MGS related, MGS1-4 even Acid 1 and 2, but MGO ffeels so lame to me. i hope they kep the trophies seperated. a patch for mgs4 and a patch for MGO.

I don't know why making those damn trophies is taking them so long (perhaps Andrew Yoon is right about his theory). All they have to do is LINK those Emblems to some Trophies and voilá! Much like Uncharted had its Medals linked to Trophies.

Nothing like a over a year after release. And yes chances are they will include MGO just so they can get some interest again. And since it is Konami/Kojima it will me a patch that will take about 6 to 8 hours to download and apply like all the others.
If they are listening maybe they will do away with the Konami sign in process. That would be quite handy. Maybe even a trophy just to sign in will be available

I've been borrowing MGS 4 for a while, but haven't gotten to it yet. Trophies would certainly push me towards it.

Any re-release they do doesnt have to be a full version seeing as they can just release it as DLC... which would mean that they're probably working on an add on for MGS4, which might be why they can't talk about it yet! They release patches for MGO all the time so they MGS4 add on could come with the next MGO pack offering trophies for both because MGO never really required MGS4 it's just that this is how they sold it to people. I think it's even a separate downloadable game in japan.

Well now, just like The Force Unleashed, I'm going to wait to see if this trophy patch materializes. (TFU is coming, so I don't have to hold my breath on that for too long.) I just recently started playing MGS4, so I'm only through the second cut scene. (Yeah, I know, I know, I should be farther... WoW drains the life out of me.)

hmm this puts me in a quandary. i am part-way through the game, just beat Laughing Octopus, (yeah i know, but the whole doesnt save until a cut scene thing makes it hard to play when i have a baby and can't be sure how much time i have to play). so do i hold off until a patch and start over (no retro trophies), or just keep going on my current save file and trophies be damned? assuming i ever play it at all given my time restrictions and so many other games to play...

Your kidding right?! I just don't get people that don't buy a game because there are no trophy's! I see trophy's as a cool addition to any game and don't get me wrong, I enjoy the challenges that the developers make when trying to collect them, but I would never buy a game based on weather or not it has trophy's. That's just dumbass.

First, by saying that they are "not ignoring" the e-mails for trophies, is pretty much the same thing as saying that we are working a trophies. Now think about why this statement was made.
