If you're looking to drop a few extra presidential flash cards in order to ensure that your DJ Hero experience is as fulfilling as possible, GameStop's got you covered -- the retailer recently priced the rhythm title's limited "Renegade Edition" at $199.99. That's a bit of a markup from the standard version's $119.99 price tag, but big enough fans of Jay-Z, Eminem, high quality turntable peripherals and collapsible stands for said controllers may be willing to part with the extra bones.

Nah, won't even be that long. By January or February, DJ Hero 2 will already be announced and by release, this will be knocked down by half if not at $9.99 for the standalone game (if it follows the Guitar Hero pattern).

$200 for a single player experience? Hahahaha! I think most people would just drop the $180 on either GHWT or RB.

I don't know, but maybe we should try to get him to 0 hearts?
Bee Tee Dubs...I doubt your site is even remotely close to the quality of Joystiq and Engadget. I bet you guys are so leet that you already have copies of MW2 and Bioshock 2 because devs and publishers respect you guys so much. I know I would respect you if I was a publisher...

This is fairly ridiculous. Though I would like to try the game. I can't see buying it.
I love Rock Band and I don't even play that buy myself.

I'm glad it's this expensive. If it was reasonably priced I wouldn't have been able to restrain myself and had have bought it. At least this way I won't end up scrubbing myself with a brillo pad in the shower and feeling dirty for days.

Not that $119.99 for the regular version is a low price by any means, but there seems to be a lot of discontent about people passing on the game because of this $200 special edition. It's listed in the article that there is a regular version, and it's $119.99.

I'll wait six months from now when every Best Buy and Gamestop are so tired of seeing castles of overpriced plastic bundles sitting in their stores that they pretty much give them away.

No one is forcing anyone to buy the high priced editions. Just get the normal edition if you want the game and don't feel there is value in their other offerings.

It still doesn't make 200$ a reasonable price tag, especially when you consider that Mr Kotick wants Sony to cut the price on the PS3 because "we're in a recession."
But hey, goes in line with what he said: (Ctrl+F for the word "raise")

Kotick is just a hypocritical twit.
