Yea, it's an alright story, but the video is now fun. I'm not going to be one of the people who says that he ONLY got 77% while solving a Rubiks cube, I know it's impressive, it's just not entertaining or interesting to watch.

And how exactly could you figuratively watch the most boring video you've ever seen?

@Obie: I dunno, I thought it was pretty cool...Way cooler than a guy writing a really shitty love song and playing his guitar for me, anyway.

What they don't show you is that he actually has his shoes off and is writing his dissertation on quantum mechanics with is feet. Playing GH while solving Rubik's Cubes is the only way he can concentrate.

Only two? Either your song was only a couple minutes long or you had a lot of time to focus purely on Guitar Hero

Call me a jerk, but this kid is fucking nuts. If you have that much time on your hand to perfect this circus act, you're an idiot just starving for attention.
Vote me down all you want, It's impressive but a waste of a talented ability of hand-eye coordination and multitasking.

Imagine what he could accomplish if he learned to play a real guitar...

Is that why there hasn't been any legendary guitarists this decade, because they're all playing rock band/guitar hero instead?

What does playing a guitar have to do with playing a game and solving a rubiks cube?

This is an impressive display of multitasking, not guitar skills.

Ok, let me elaborate a bit.
I play guitar, and I do play Guitar Hero and Rockband... except the guitar part. I like to sing in it or play drums. Not guitar, since I don't see the point in playing along with a fake one if I can actually play along with music with my real guitar.

That's just me though, I understand alot of guitar players feel different about it.

Oh and Sprinkles, you clearly missed the point that I tried to make in my initial post. Also, you might want to change that name cause you're just begging for a ban or instant downvote, unless you really are Sprinkles. If that's the case, drinking gasoline is an option.

it's just entertainment.
you could argue any entertainment is just attention grabbing.
this is what youtube is! maybe he doesn't want to learn to play guitar; maybe this is fun and would provide entertainment to the masses

He said in the very beginning that he spent a few hours over a couple of weeks. So he really didn't spend that much time and for all we know he's infiltrating Al-Queda's base as we type.

That's because "No guitarist has become legendary in the past decade" is an idiotic statement. That's the whole point of becoming legendary! It doesn't happen in five or ten years. The people mentioned above have been around for decades - Muse has only been around for a few years. Give it time.

For fuck's sake man, people can be good at more than one thing.

We have a LOT of time in our lives. Plenty of time for diversions that are done just for fun. Plenty of people put just as much time and talent into drawing stuff they never plan on doing anything with other than throwing into a bin under their bin.

Not to mention, with the time most of us here spend playing videogames and posting on online blogs we could all probably be accomplishing plenty of stuff that actually means something, but it probably wouldn't be, you know, fun.

What the hell is with people's crazy notion that every waking second of a person's life has to be spent accomplishing something for the greater good, and how the hell are you spending enough time playing videogames to post on a game blog if that's what you do?

Imagine what he could do if he played a real guiter? Who the fuck cares? There are about 2 billion people in the world that play guitar and nobody knows who 1.999999999 billion of them are. There's only one person that's ever played through a guitar hero song on expert while solving two rubic's cubes. And who's to say he doesn't also play real guitar anyway?

Vcize +1

There's nothing wrong with having a really weird talent or a cool story to share with people. I doubt this kid's life revolves around Guitar Hero so much that it's detrimental and/or a big waste of time. People do a lot worse with their free time.

How dare you be arguing about crap on the internet. If you have that kind of time on your hands to mindlessly type rubbish into a keyboard, you should be writing a thesis, or a novel. Not that anyone should be allowed to read a novel, because if they've got time to waste reading fiction, they could be forcing cold hard facts into their brain.

Vote me down all you want, but it's a waste of a good pair of typing hands and quite a few useful words.

Imagine what you could accomplish if you learned to write shakespearian prose...

Whoa. First of all, this kid plays better on Expert with his elbow than I can do on Hard with my hands. Second, let's not forget he's also apparently playing this by watching the reflection of it in that mirror at the beginning.

Kudos to him.
