Audiosurf should come with a warning that it will consume any and all amounts of free time you have

Since I've already played World of Goo and Braid, should I still buy the pack?

World of Goo and Audiosurf make the pack worth it. Audiosurf is one of the greatest game ideas in years, and not just on the PC (it's like Rez, except unending since you can use your own songs).

World of Goo is just fun. The rest of the stuff in the pack though...ehh...you might get some fun out of Crayon Physics.

NO.. Because for some stupid reason Valve don't give you extra licenses....

All the games are great, but there is no valid reason for valve not to give you extra licenses to give as gifts. It's dumb, and it'll cost them a lot of sales and good will.

Hmm... I already have Audiosurf and World of Goo on Steam, and then Braid on 360... And according to the help articles, I wouldn't be able to gift my extra copies?

Can someone confirm/deny this before I spend any cash? It's still a good deal, but I'd rather do SOMETHING with any extras...
(obviously, Braid doesn't count as an "extra" since I don't have the PC version...)

Bought it, already had world of goo and audiosurf, and no, you don't get to gift your second license. Bummer, but all in all it was still a good deal.

As detailed at https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?s=6e4689d700cdddf57cce0d6f86519412&ref=4502-TPJL-2656, you only get copies of games to gift if:
a) you buy a L4D four pack (obviously).
b) you own HL2 or HL2E1 and buy The Orange Box or the Valve Complete Pack.
c) you own HL2E1 or HL2E2 and buy the HL2 Episode Pack.

I'll say this once: those are the ONLY circumstances in which you get extra copies to gift.

Hmm, I might go with that $20 option, I've already got Braid, Crayon, Darwinia, and Goo. Of course, D2D is doing that $18 sale that has The Path, Xeno Clash, Cogs, Democracy 2 and Defense Grid. I had already thought about getting it, but now this sale looks good too.

Aaaahhh! Who knew that lots of cheap, great indie games would be a problem :O

Bought the pack, and then realized I just spent $50 on indie games within two days.

Plus, the Path was in both the D2D and the steam packs, so now I have two copies! Oh well.

I've decided I'm going to bite. It's a crime I haven't played World of Goo yet and I liked the Crayon Physics tech demo thing I tried but never played the "real" game (CP Delux). I've heard of Darwinia but don't know anything about it... I figure with World of Goo, The Path and Crayon Physics all on my to buy list anyway I can't pass this up.

I don't know why the hell valve ignore currency value on steam.

$30 is not the same as €30, if I want to buy this Im expected to pay nearly 50% more than anyone dealing in american currency.

€30 = $42.60

Yeah i only realised this on my last credit card bill after buying stuff on steam for years! Always assumed they would use a standard conversion rate... well serves me right for not checking i suppose

Thats odd. I live in Australia, everything is displayed in American Dollars, so i do a quick conversion at the current echange rate, and when i buy the game through Steam, sure enough, it takes out the right amount of money.

I had never gotten around to getting Braid, Everyday Shooter, or World of Goo, all of which I intended to buy. Then I noticed that the bigger pack also included Audiosurf and Crayon Physics and I thought, "meh, what's ten more bucks...?" =D

No, you already have the best of the pack, no sense in buying a ton of games from which you could only enjoy a few titles.

Unfortunately no, which is a pity as I've got five from the 10 pack already and I really don't want to have to buy Darwinia again for a fourth time. Now if gifting was available across the board instead of just for Valve titles I may have been tempted and wouldn't feel like I'm wasting half my money.

Indie =/= casual.

Your opinions are often well formulated, if provocative, and rarely carry no merit.

What you just said, however, is complete and utter horseshit.

My computer is downloading this right now! Everyday shooter has already finished. neat game definitely worth some time. I've almost bought world of goo on Wii ware several times but they want $15. 3 dollars is a much more palatable option. Also I've been curios about some of the others like audiosurf.

Also getting Hearts of Iron 3. So i won't be able to put my full attention to it until after I've conquered Europe.

I only have a Mac, so I can't buy this. If I had a PC I'd be opening up a Steam account pronto and I would buy this in a heartbeat. Audiosurf, Braid, and World of Goo always looked fantastic to me but I never got a chance to play them :(

World of Goo and Braid are available on the Mac (PPC and Intel apparently)
There is also an unofficial mac port of Audiosurf floating around if your mac is Intel.

If you've got an Intel mac, you could also bootcamp it and play a ton more games.
