Has your recent playthrough of the Batman: Arkham Asylum demo left you wondering exactly how the sausage got made? Lucky you -- Warner Bros. and Rocksteady recently released a behind-the-scenes look at the stealth-action superhero sim, which keen-eyed readers have probably already noticed is posted above.
The game's creators do a great job of explaining what makes the game so successful -- elements such as the intensive mocap work done to bring the animations to life, story contributions from DC's Paul Dini, and of course, Rocksteady's own "English sensibilities." We're pretty fond of our American sensibilities thankyouverymuch -- but if that's the secret ingredient that makes Arkham Asylum so rad, we guess we can't complain.

nitpicking would be if i complained that the color pattern was reversed if she was wearing her harlequinn uniform. This is a lot bigger than that, it wouldnt be nitpicking if they made Captain America wear a british flag or Spider-Man dress up like a gym coach. And actually yeah Joker does pretty much wear the same thing, maybe the color pattern or tailoring is different but it's almost always a purple/green suit with a black one once in a while. I dont see what "the plan" has to do with it, the person i replied to was saying that she wears the nurses uniform because there a lots of nurses in the asylum not because it was the jokers plan. My reasoning was that if harley was already in the asylum as a patient and they took her costume it would make sense, but because other villains are incarcerated with costume it doesnt

Batman is not a superhero - he's a crimefighter. Totally different.

a police officer is a crime fighter, Batman is definitely a superhero. He uses technology that's completely unrealistic, fights super villains, alien devil Gods, and wears a cape and mask. Batman is a superhero, just because he doesnt have powers doesnt change that

no the cartoons are their separate universe, fittingly called the DC ANimated Universe and incorporate BTAS, STAS, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited and Batman Beyond. Stuff like The Batman, or Brave and the Bold or animated dvds are their own universes. However Paul Dini liked her so much he made her a character in the comic, the same for Renee Montoya, who is now The Question

Since when did recognize video games as a sim? It's just a game can't we just call it that?

I really enjoyed the demo. Is there any way to get other gadgets in the demo? I'm wondering about the glass door you could break with an explosion. That and a few vents on the walls. I'm guessing those will be shortcuts for quick back tracking.
Also, the demo is far too short!

In that trailer in the beginning and the trailer after the demo, It shows "B-man" using the grappling hook to grab someone and pull them closer to him or pull him over a railing. How do you do this? I can only pull my self to a ledge or a gargoyle.
