I probably wouldn't have upgraded from an iPhone to my T-Mobile G1 if I had known about this.

Talk about a killer app.

Dude, chill

My phone does everything an iphone does, it too has 32 GB via MicroSD and its integrated with google. My iPhone was a 2G and I wanted to go 3G. AT&T's rates were just unreasonable on the newer iPhones and I saw that Android was fully integrated to google. Everything I do, email, docs, calendar is on google, so I went with Android and it worked great. Now I have better service, coverage and function with Google + T-Mobile than AT&T + Apple could provide me.

I'm no hater, I had and loved an iPhone for 2 years. I like this G1 better- it does just as much and more than my old iPhone. I love Civ and I think its a great match for an iPhone, so I said it was a killer app.

Different people have different needs. Just because my needs no longer align with the iPhone does that make me a "hater".

I'm loving how cheap these games are when ported to the iPhone. Don't really have much use for my DS lately. Or PSP (aka Rock Band Unplugged machine)

Assuming it's the same full game from the DS/360/PS3, $5 is one incredible price. Over the past year I've probably dumped 100 hours into it.

I love Civ:Rev on my DS -- it works as a portable title much better than I'd expected Civ to.

Looks pretty dumbed down to me. $5 seems to be the best price point for luring in suckers.

With posts like this it appears Joystiq is fantastic at luring in trolls.

Luring in suckers? Well aren't you quite the dumbfuck. You can obviously download the lite version (free demo) to see if you like it. Thought that was pretty clear when the post said "There is also a "lite" version of the game to test things out."

I agree with you Marty, but this will still sell very well. The App Store is a virtual goldmine, some good stuff but a mountain of shovelware aimed to make a quick $

I'll wait for joystiq's impressions, but if it's decent this is a sure buy for me!

I have always wondered, do all iPhone games work on iPod touch? Because so far I'm pretty happy with verizon and really would rather not get an iPhone.

Probably yes. There will be some applications that only work for newer models though, such as apps taking advantage of the compass only in the 3rd generation IPhone.

Plus, the Iphone and Ipod Touch have progressively gotten faster, so maybe newer games will run a tad slow on older models?

Almost all Iphone apps work with the Ipod Touch. They are virtually the same hardware, with the obvious differences (one having a built in phone, the other not..), but DEFINITELY the same software.

The only ones that really don't are the apps that use GPS for any particular reason, but even then the software would still run. Even Loopt now works with an Ipod touch, and it's basically dependent on GPS.
