The relaxation bit sounds really interesting.

The "measuring how horrified a player is in a horror title" sounds like something that will never happen.

So Nintendo specifcally mentions the horror thing as an example, but you don't think it will happen?

They're trying to reach a new group of people with this thing, people that have no interest in gaming at all so far. Every time they do that angry forum posters flip their lids because Nintendo once again is making something that dose not cater to them. So it kinda looks like they're just tossing that idea out to keep them occupied for a bit.

But, you know, if someone did something like that it could actually be pretty cool. Imagine if the more tense you got the more it altered you controls or the way the screen looked.... maybe your reticle starts to get jumpy and the screen a bit hazy. But then if you calm yourself down things start to go back to normal. I don't know if anything like that is possible with this device though..

You are absolutely out of your fucking mind if you think Nintendo is going to make a horror game with this. The fantastic and awesome Eternal Darkness was the GC's shot a starting a Nintendo backed horror game and it was an amazingly well made game. However Nintendo got cold feet about anything involving the dark, monsters, and anything NOT related to Mario. They didn't back the game's release and it went overlooked by most people and quickly ended up in the bargain bin. Look at the games they are making now....fucking Mii mini-game shitfests and excercise software aimed at your mom. They aren't taking any chances with anything remotely aimed at adults that hasn't been dumbed down so grandparents have a chance to look like they know what they are doing.

Forget about serious gaming genres like horror games because Nintendo doesn't give a fuck about serious games anymore.

Nintendo has put a shit load of great games out for the wii, please Storm eagle at what point in there history did they put out so many great games for their biggest franchises in such a short time. This golden age you are referring to, when was it?

That is the BIGGEST reason I have been a Sony fanboy since the PSX in 1995. Sony ALWAYS caters to every demographic, hardcore, casual, in between...whatever.

They did it with PSX, PS2, and now they are doing it with the PS3.

We have wonderful hardcore titles like INfamous, Uncharted, KZ2, MGS4 and we have casual titles like Pain, High Velocity Bowling, LBP..and soon to come EyePet for the casual.

And in 2010 spring we will have the most accurate, realistic, and precise motion control for hardcore games in beautiful HD and casual games in beautiful HD.

Sony could have taken the easy way out and released an upgraded PS2 and sold if for $299 at launch...but they didn't and I am thankful for that.

For all of the shit Sony gets....THEY are the ONLY company that caters to EVERY type of gamer.

This would be an accomplishment IF Nintendo had released NEW hardware and not a repackaged GameCube with a motion controller that was designed FOR the GameCube.

When a developers SDK is the SAME kit as the GC was....how is it difficult to put out re-hashes of the SAME games that were on the GC on the Wii?

Not me though, they tried to take console gaming out of the price range I'm and most people are willing to pay.

If I had to pick one console where Nintendo hit their peak, it would be the Nintendo 64. Look at all the hit titles that came out for that system. Mario 64, F-Zero X, Star Fox 64, both Zelda titles, the Banjo series, Smash bros, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Harvest Moon, Blast Corps, Jet Force Gemini, Mario Kart 64, 1080, Wrestlemania 2000, Wave Race, Excitebike 64. There's also great lesser known titles like Beetle Adventure Racing, Rayman 2 and Space Station Silicon Valley.

The Wii will never have this many good, innovative, ground-breaking games.

No sorry Storm Eagle the correct answer (if there is one, which there aint) was The super Nintendo. Thats when all gaming peaked. Its science, you cant argue with it...or.... its subjective. one of those.

I'm kind of baffled by this debate. If you think gaming peaked 13 years ago (with the N64) or even earlier, why do you still play games?

Personally, I grew up playing Nintendo games and I have no problem with Nintendo continuing to make kid-friendly games.

Are we talking about Nintendo games or games on Nintendo systems here? because a lot of those N64 games weren't Nintendo games. As far as Nintendo games go, the Wii is doing just as good as any previous system and maybe better since theres the casual games in addition to stuff like mario and metroid.

No one's saying the SNES games aren't entertaining. Hell, I'll play Ken Griffey's Slugfest before I'll play some of the newer baseball games, that's not the point.

But when everyone first saw Mario in 3D, that was it. Everyone who had ever played a Mario game, wanted a Nintendo 64. The door for new possiblities had just been smashed down. That's fact.

THE way you TYPE makes me WANT to GOUGE out my fucking EYEBALLS. It's KAYrap.

And your OPINION on how PS3 has 'delivered' more hardcore titles for the user than any other system makes me laugh. I'm a Nintendo fanboy to the core and I can even see that 360 has this generation by the balls. And yes, I've found more games that appeal to me on the Wii than PS3, counting exclusives only. OPINIONS ARE FUN!!!

You're not supposed to play games as you know them with this. This is another attempt by Nintendo to reach of group of people that wouldn't consider touching video games. People that have no interest in gears of war, Mario, Wii sports or brain training.

People that bought a Wii to play actual games are probably starting to realize their mistake by now. Nintendo has realized that theirs more money in selling housewifes Wii Workout gear than selling gamers actual games.

I only hope Sony/MS dont copy this and seal the fate of gaming.
